In Oct-Nov 2019 I spent 2 nights and multiple afternoons/evenings at the ICU Guesthouse. The moment I entered through the gate, I stepped into an oasis of relaxation and welcoming smiles. The villa and its garden are beautiful, well-maintained and nicely decorated. Rooms and bathroom facilities are clean, there's a washing machine for laundry service and food is tasty (including bread for breakfast and your daily dose of veggies for dinner that can be hard to come by in Uganda). To top it all off, a superb rooftop terrace - including bar. Thijs & Anne - the lovely Dutch owners - were extremely welcoming and happy to think along if I needed to get some practicalities organised. They even ended up throwing a rooftop screening of the new Lion King movie. Above all, they take care to make the ICU Guesthouse a responsible place to stay: fair payment of taxes, some recycling in place and solar-heated water. I would 100% recommend staying with them!
