Very fantastic, spectacular view, lake, accomodation. You can feel in a dream yourself. After our safari, we choose to stay here to get some rest. You can swim on the lake and get sun shine on dock. The next morning , we got lake tour , took so nice photos in the early morning. The breakfast and dinner was good. Big hotel , tidy rooms, nature friendly garden,  I send my geeetings to Toby (dog) who was good dog. Do not return your country without spending at Lake Bunyoni - Crater Bay hotel.

We visited craterbay cottages last week, good food, support staff and high quality bar stock varieties, we highly recommend to stay craterbay cottages lake bunyonyi.the welcome juice was very fine at all  

The room did everything it was supposed to (bed, bathroom, a door that locks) but the real highlight here is the staff, especially Jimmy Brown, who was running hither and thither at the behest of various guests and was always extremely professional (even when some of the guests were boorish and stand offish.

It simply a wondrous place to visit .
All services are provided with the at most love and care . Very fast wi - fi , nice meals and a cool well designed and thoughtfully furnished interior.
And my personal favourite the boating service.
So any time am in Kabale, I surely won't be giving prizes for where I will be staying .

Great service here. I'm so much in love with Crates bay. We had great breakfast, then had a boat cruz and checked out all the beautiful islands there .....moving to the "ninja warrior" of Bunyonyi. Uuuuuhhhhh😊

Enjoyed the healthy food, wonderful boat cruise, the service was top notch. Will definitely be back. The lodges are good. Quite and definitely one of the best places to enjoy the nature in west. Big up to the staff there, noce work done

Very nice place with a great view. The staff Benedict was so helpful and nice. Also the guide Owen who took us canoeing was awesome. The beds in these cottages are comfy and we had a nice little porch outside. The food was great, don’t miss out one of the crayfish dishes. 
The only cons with this place was that the power went on and off some times and therefore it was hard to get warm water to take a shower. Otherwise a wonderful stay just by the lake.

We spent 2 great nights here. The quality of the service and infrastructure is great for the money. The view is really beautiful. Most of all, we had a great welcoming by all the staff, which made our stay really nice !

I absolutely loved my furnished cabin here near Lake Bunyonyi.  The grounds are beautiful.  Food very good, and outstanding swimming in the lake.  I would definitely stay here again.  Birds everywhere, gorgeous peace and quiet.

Great place for both backpackers and holidayers. Reasonably priced for an amazing location and service provided. Rooms are clean and overlooking the lake. Jetty is great to relax on by day and the canoe trips were fun. Hot showers a plus. WiFi works really well in the bar and food was of a good standard. Such a large variety of options on the menu as well. We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff made us feel very welcome. Thanks!

We decided on a spontaneous three-night stay at this accommodation, and overall, we had a good experience. The cottages are clean and simple, they suited our needs and were nicely done. What made it even better was the great value we received, especially since we visited during the off-peak season and got a discount. However, it was quite empty during our stay, which had its pros and cons.

The food and service at the on-site restaurant were good, albeit a bit slow. The wait was worth it, as every dish was freshly prepared. The staff rented us a canoe and valuable tips to explore the nearby lake. Additionally, they arranged a driver for a day trip to Rwanda.

In summary, we had a wonderful time here. A little tip: We initially inquired about camping with a rooftop tent. Unfortunately, this turned out to be just a parking area, which was rather uninspiring. As a result, we opted for one of the cottages, which turned out to be a better choice for us.

Craterbay Cottages is a very beautiful Resort with Nice accommodation, restaurant und Staff. I enjoyed the Ovacado Crayfish Wowowoow it is super und very well cooked.Breakfast is great, there is self service und you can take as much coffee as you want and also eat very nice fruits while watching the view of the lake and the beautiful birds restaurant. Wowow when you go to Kabale go straight to Craterbay Cottages, it is the best place to relax und enjoy. I love Tobby the German Shepherd dog, he is really soo nice und welcomes clients.

Room was good, with net for mosquitos. Bed was comfortable as much as I remember.

It's not exactly in Kabala but in Rutanda ( small village near the lake), rather quiet locations, unless there are other noisy guests ( we did not have).  their resturant is just fine, we were not disappointed.

They offer Canues for hire, and I belive that on request they can show you arround the islands. the owners ( and their dog) are lovely, and  they have plate with birds food so you can sit and watch some birds come around.
 reviews before me about credits and cards is correct- no ATMs around.

lake itself  was very cold and deep but clear and beautiful. good place to settle in while you explore the area, or just want few days to relax. and also not that expensive.
