Holger Danske Hotel

The hotel is nive for a 1-2 night stay. Comfortable, easy check in, nice people, clean room. Boardwalk area is nice with plenty of places to eat and hace a nice time. The area before you arrive isn’t so nice. The road is horrible which is weird for a touristic area. Gov’t should get that fixed.

Area to arrive at the hotel isn’t so great. Road is rough with many potholesAfter you arrive at the hotel, friendly service and the area is very nice. The boardwalk behind is very nice with a very nice area to walk around.

Loved it here I would say the room could’ve been cleaner but had a great time and loved it for the most part! Felt very safe as well with overnight security.

My 8 day stay was a delight. Thank you !!!

Nice place to stay. Plenty of dining options. Coming in doesnmt look too safe but when you get there it’s fine.

Nice place to stay in Christiansted St. Croix. It’s right on the boardwalk so you have lots of options for food and drinks within a 2-5 min walk. The rooms are nice with AC, mini fridge, and other basic amenities.

The property was very quiet ,clean and modern.The staff was very friendly and helpful .I would recommend it.

I love this property very accessible to dining area. Really close to the boardwalk and to shopping areas and historic areas also. The staff really amazing and friendly. Overall Iove it.

Make sure to get a room that is beyond the gate so you have additional security.  It was not a problem but I would have felt more secure if we had that extra level of security. The restaurant is not a part of the hotel so there is no way to charge meals or drinks.  Otherwise, its a great place to stay and I will be back in January.

I can’t say enough positive about this hotel. The desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the same with the chambermaids….Joan was terrific! The place is wonderfully maintained…David goes the extra mile and treats the property and even its resident chickens with special care. He has just completed and open air yoga area…using his creative skills.The Hotel is right on the boardwalk…so shopping and dining close at hand. The pool is clean and view from its deck amazing, although sometimes a bit windy for lounging. We will revisit for sure and suggest it for others!

We stayed with you last year and it was terrific….well~cared for, friendly and helpful l staff and the location couldn’t be beat. If possible, it was even better this year. The grounds keeper and jack-of-all-trades David is back. He is friendly, hard-working and a total pleasure. This facility is so fortunate to have him. He even takes care in front of the resident chickens and has worked hard on creating an outdoor yoga studio.. Watching the chickens  and giving them treats even enhanced my experience  more. Although the wind shortened time at the pool, it is beautiful, and the view…amazing. It’s so good being right in town for walking, shopping and eating. The people-watching and friendliness of the locals…a special treat. We wouldn’t consider anywhere else in Christiansted!!!’

The location of the hotel on the boardwalk was fantastic. It was close to everything,  but near the end of the tourist area, so that it was also quiet. We had a room on the ground floor with a patio that allowed us to enjoy the Caribbean air and felt secluded. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful. The hotel itself is a little dated but suited our wants and needs perfectly. There was an issue with no hot water for the shower, but this was fixed within 24 hours. I will definitely come back and stay here again.

Fantastic

We had a really great experience at this hotel. We were visiting on our honeymoon but didn’t want to stay at a resort because we really weren’t planning on being inside a lot, so we decided to go with a more cost-effective option. The hotel is right on the boardwalk in Christiansted and has a gate code, so it was pretty easy access to the area, making it very convenient for shopping or dining. My mom wanted to have a special gift for us in the hotel room when we arrived and the manager (Debbie) put together a great basket for us and had made the towels into swans, she really took extra time and effort to make sure we had a great stay! We were able to catch up with Debbie and it was really great meeting her and being able to thank her for the basket. I know they don’t get a lot of tourists that stay here, but I honestly don’t understand why - we had a great experience. There could be a few updates made but it wasn’t rundown, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed was really comfortable plus the patio was quite large for a hotel! It was really quiet, minus the nearby road construction and the roosters and chickens which the hotel can’t help and you’re going to probably have anywhere else on the island as well. Our only minor complaint would be that there is no elevator, and we were on the third floor – it really was only a challenge bringing our luggage up when we arrived and down when we were leaving, otherwise it was no issue for us at all and we honestly loved the vaulted ceilings of being on the third floor. We did choose a partial water view instead of booking the full water view and wished that the trees were trimmed back a bit by the patio so we could see more of the water but when we walked out the door, we had a really great view so that made up for it! Overall, we thought this was a pretty decent hotel and the staff was truly great which always makes for a good experience.

Good value, right on the Boardwalk

Had a basic room with king bed. Lots of room to move around and put luggage. Has a mostly screened porch with a couple chairs though some is just lattice, Ground floor looks at a wall & plants. I think the room only had a desk chair for seating.Pool on roof was warm and has a little shade area sometimes of the day.Parked in the onsite lot which probably holds 6 cars and is tight backing back out depending on how others park. Sometimes there was street parking in front. I think the city lot across the street is free in evening & night..Right on boardwalk which was nice to get to dining & shopping options, plus a nice water view. Also easy walk to the fort.

Very friendly staff. Somewhat dated, but clean and gets the job done. Great pool with amazing view. Walkable to EVERYTHING. Nate’s bar on property. If you get parking, it is TIGHT. However many places don not offer parking at all. Only complaint: Not much hot water for shower. After a hot day at beach, cold shower wasn’t the worst thing…

We stayed one night at this hotel, is really cute, we got a room in the first floor, no view, but it connects right into the boardwalk, close to shopping and restaurant and local attractions.  Hotel has parking on site but you can also use the government parking across the street.  Rooms are small but clean.  The views of the Marina from the pool on the second floor are amazing.

The hotel was great. The staff were nice (to me) but never spoke to my boyfriend 😞. The room was clean but the bed was awful. Too soft and the frame seemed like it was going to give way. Cute screened in patio. There was a hen ( we named her Kentucky) who was sitting on her eggs right outside of the patio. Sadly, they didn’t hatch while we were there. The pool was gorgeous and clean. It sits on top of the next door restaurant so it provided a beautiful view. The hotel is literally like 10 steps from the boardwalk. Can’t wait to go back to the island

Great time

This hotel backs up to the Christiansted boardwalk so it’s super convenient to access many restaurants and points of departure for excursions.  Centerline Car Rentals is a 5 minute walk as is the sea plane that goes between St. Croix and St. Thomas.  I would not consider this a destination resort but if you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel and is central to lots of activities this is a good choice.
