Ramada Resort Lara

We (family of 6) arrived at Ramada on Saturday 19th July, by private transfer via jet 2, in the afternoon. The rooms - a superior family room & a double standard room both with sea views also overlooking the bustling roads, markets & other hotels from our balcony. The rooms are spacious, modern & very clean, as is everything else in the hotel. I decided to book a turkish bath spa for the next day ready for building my tan. I've had these before in other places, but this was exceptional. The woman who runs the spa (i think her name is Elena), was so kind & helpful, remembering when I booked that I'd recently had hip surgery & telling Suzy the therapist about it, who couldn't do enough to make the experience perfect. Suzy did a great turkish bath treatment & the varying massages were so lovely & relaxing, it's heavenly. The food & drinks are more than plentiful & although the hotel was sold out, you never had to worry about getting space in the restaurant or snack bars. The sunbeds, parasols, around the pools, beach & pier are also readily available. The entertainments team are great, clearly enjoy their jobs, have bags of energy & have innovative pool games & other activities such as darts, table tennis etc., The staff serving drinks can't do enough, but my favourite was the young muslim girl at the pool bar (over the road), she was never fazed by people ordering varying cocktails & she worked hard all day long. The entertainment at night was varied & fun, but especially the Michael Jackson tribute with the fantastic dancers, mj's & their moves, costumes & background imagery was out of this world, not to mention them having to perform in searing heat! The only downside was that our other daughter, son-in-law & granddaughter were supposed to be coming out later in the week as a surprise, for our daughter & family, but when they arrived in Antalya they had booked the Ramada at Side not Lara Beach, assuming due to the information & advertising that they would be with us. When finding out that it was a completely different hotel in another part of Antalya the reps were really helpful & said they'd be happy to transfer them, however when we appealed to our hotel reception to assist us, we were told that every room was taken, the man with glasses & a round face seemed to enjoy being very smug & unhelpful in this, smirking when we were relaying this over the phone. Also, the next day, the adverts were still showing that bookings were being taken for our hotel, so we could only assume that either that was misleading or/& false advertising, either way this needs looking into. Apart from this unfortunate incident, everything & mainly everyone about this place is worth every penny spent.
