Dar El Kobba

We spent two nights at Dar El Kobba during our driving trip around southern Tunisia this December. We had a spacious second floor room that had one large, king-sized bed and one small bed. The second floor has a large outdoor terrace that overlooks the palmerie. There is a first floor living room that guests can also use. We were able to park the car in a space close to the Dar on its quiet street. There is no off-street parking but everything seems very safe. If you try to find the Dar using Google maps, it will get you close but then it goes a little haywire in the Medina. When you first arrive, my advice is to park the car in the main area of town and use the app to walk to the Dar. Then re-park the car close to the hotel. The Dar is within easy walking distance to the center of the town, where you can find a market, ATMs, and several rather mediocre restaurants. Brigitte, the owner of the Dar, and her staff are very welcoming. Breakfast is a simple meal but with the best coffee we had during our stay in Tunisia.
