Hotel Fahd

After our plans had us unexpectedly staying in Djerba for an extra night, we were looking for something inexpensive and clean as it was really just a place to sleep before we headed out early in the morning. We were very surprised as the rooms are all renovated with modern decor and very clean and comfortable. There is a mini fridge in the room which had a few drinks in it for sale. Was nice when we got thirsty late night! And they don't gouge you! A reasonable 2 or 3 dinars for a drink! The included breakfast was also quite good! It's a continental style with a hard boiled egg, some cheese, jam, yogurt, coffee, etc... But it was made fresh for us when we came down and was enough to fill us before we hit the road. My fiance and I both remarked after we left that we didn't expect it to be that nice considering the price and the plain front to the building (located on top of a hardware store). Doesn't have a pool or anything like that but is a great place to rest your head! There's a restaurant right beside which is convenient. AC worked really well too! Always important in Tunisia! LOL wish I had taken some pictures as this hotel really deserves to have more business headed it's way! I would certainly go back if I wanted something without frills but that still met my needs.
