Lagoon Lodge Nuku'alofa

My first time in Tonga, I was meant to stay with family but my daughter fell sick (I did not want to bother anybody) so I searched for a hotel. First we stayed at the Emerald hotel at $250 a night, no good! Then we went to hotel Nuku'alofa which was a pleasant stay for a cheap hotel it has a hot shower!! Lol. Finally, after most apartments were booked out, we found the Lagoon lodge which I was glad. I was travelling with a friend and her boyfriend, we needed the extra bedroom. I have two complaints...The shower, It needs a new shower head (but has hot water) & the beds, the Lodge needs new beds & linen apart from that, it was great, The staff were friendly, they gave us a T.V & DVD player for my daughter, They did our washing for $10 a bag, to wash, dry & fold, I loved the view, the Lagoon was calming, though we could not swim in it. We sat under the coconut trees and enjoyed the cool breeze, The steak at the Lunarossa restaurant melted in my mouth!! I've never tasted steak so good!! Very impressed. The owner of the restaurant was very lovely, she brought my dessert to my hotel room, due to my daughter feeling tired so we left early. I don't know about the daily breakfast, I hired a car and ate out most days. If the place was upgraded it would be amazing for business but it's Tonga $$$ lol Would I stay here again? Yes 🙂
