13 reviewsThe Malai Asia resort at Thap Sakae Thailand is a jewel and only about 4 1/2 hours drive from busy Bangkok. You can get a private bungalow on the beach complete with air conditioning, satalite TV, refrigerator, shower & room service. The restaurant has a good menu of fresh seafood & other Thai dishes. It is very reasonably priced. Whenever my wife & I are in Bangkok we try to add a trip down to the Malai Asia Resort. If you are staying at the Malaysia hotel in Bangkok ( another of our favorites ) they will provide transportation as well as give you a discount on your room rate at the Malai Asia Resort.
