Arriving in Koh Samui and at the Elysia Hotel, you instantly feel relaxed. The friendly smiles from staff and the cool jazz music make you feel at ease and ready to explore the island. At the Elysia, I was given room no.2 and was shown around the room by the owner, Patrick, which gave the experience an even more welcoming feel. The room was spacious, comfy and stylish. I had air conditioning and an overhead fan for when things got too chilly. The two welcome beers in the fridge for arrival added to the warm, calming feeling the hotel gives. The pool area and cafe are wonderful and well-kept. Due to the size of the hotel, most afternoons we had the pool to ourselves. The hotel is in the centre of Fisherman's village but on the edge so makes for a lovely wander in the evening and also keeps you a little distance from the hustle and bustle. A perfect location for those wanting a break, but with access to something to do. Patrick and his team were amazing from start to finish, they made it feel like you were staying with an old friend rather than as paying guests, always smiling, happy and going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Staying at the Elysia resort has been wonderful, relaxing and a brilliant experience. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering Koh Samui and Fisherman's Village.
