108 reviewsMe and my boyfriend stayed at Baan rub aroon for one week and did not regret it at all! The hostel had a wonderful"home"-feeling to it which was partially done by the beautiful garden and the interior. But most of all it was Nong (the owner) and the rest of the staff who made our stay feel like home away from home. Everyone was so kind and helpful, always making sure that we were having a good time in Chiang Rai. The hostel is located about a 10-15 minute walk from the clocktower, which for us was central enough. The only negative thing was that people liked to ride their scooters right on the road passing by the house. So bring earplugs if you are sensitive to those types of noises at night. If you are looking for a calm, cosy, welcoming, friendly and helpful hostel, look no further this is it! Kind regards, Sofia and Charlie
