This is a magical place with all the amenities you need. I loved the refillable water bottle given to us. The staff was excellent and caring, knowing  our preferences. The food was fantastic, the soups excellent! The accommodations were perfect! From the hot showers to the perfect beds. Our safari experience was unbelievable. Julian our guide was extremely knowledgeable. His knowledge taught us many things about Africa, the plants to the animals
I would highly recommend this place, and Julian!

Lemala Ewanjan staff are incredibly hard working and an example of what a luxury experience should be.  John, the manager, was TOP NOTCH in every way.   Checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed and wanted.   He is an example of what a superb manager is…Florence, our guide and driver, was beyond AWESOME.  We had incredible viewing of the amazing landscape and its inhabitants.   He was so knowledgeable about where to go and then educated us on the animals, their life cycle, ways they live, procreate, length of life, characteristics…we could not have asked for a better person to be “guide us”.  Goodness, lead dining room person and overall helper, was so kind and always ensuring we were happy and had what we needed.  There were many other people, Elias…(and other names I cannot remember).   Our room attendant, Swalehe, was awesome at keeping us on track and does laundry better than me.   He was a godsend when it came to having clean clothes.  They all deserve more than I am able to express in this email or with a tip.   

I hope these incredible people realize they make the difference with their guests.   Brian and I have never been treated nicer, had as much delicious food (did I mention we would love to have the cook at our house), felt so seen, or cared for…than this experience.

Lemala Ewanjan is in a beautiful setting and has everything you need to be comfortable. Loved staying there. 

Located in the heart of the Central Serengeti, Lemala Ewanjan provided an unforgettable stay surrounded by stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. The spacious tents were beautifully furnished, offering an authentic yet comfortable safari experience. The camp’s location allowed for exceptional game viewing, with animals frequently passing through the area. The staff’s warmth and attention to detail enhanced the experience, making us feel truly at home in the wilderness. Dining under the stars and listening to the distant calls of wildlife made our time at Ewanjan truly special.

We, our family of 6, had a lovely, great stay in the Lemala Ewanjan Camp! As this was not our first safari, we knew from the beginning we wanted to book a luxury tented Camp like this. Just a nice location with great staff, good beds/ tents and fantastic food….while you have to imagine that you are in the middle of nature, surrounded by wildlife!!

As experienced travellers we would like to suggest to change the light blue couches/ leather armchairs in the main tent, as they do not correspond at all to the atmosphere of a luxury safari camp!!

The team at Lemala were wonderful and couldn’t do more to ensure that your stay at he camp was above expectations. The food and hospitality was great. The location is perfect for transport from the airport at Serona and ideally situated for safari trips. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure you see as much wildlife as possible.

We came here first my birthday and we were not disappointed. It took a rather arduous six hours to get here from Ngorongoro and I felt unwell when I arrived. The Staff took such good care of me and brought some food to our tent. The location was incredible and we saw Cheetah and Giraffe nearby. One night my husband was sat outside and a hyena strolled right past our tent! The food was incredible and the staff could not do enough for us. A must do for Tanzania.

Got invited on my parents most recent international trip. Staying at the Lemala camp was so beautiful and relaxing. It was super exciting getting to see all the wildlife that comes by the camp!

A safari in the Serengeti would be incomplete without staying in a tented camp. We slept next to elephants and were able to bring great stories back home.

The staff was amazing, the food was delicious and the atmosphere unique! 5 out of 5!!!

What a truly once in a lifetime experience!

Lemala Ewanjan – Immersed in the Serengeti Wilderness

A lovely camp situated in a perfect location with a great team.

Pros

The only place on safari in Tanzania that had communal dining. So that was welcomed. 
Food was excellent given the location.

Cons

The safes in the tent didn’t work (my sister’s tent and mine. 
It would have been nice to have drinks around the fire pit as that’s one of the reasons we picked this place (it’s shown in one of the photos)

Pros and cons

We really enjoyed our time here. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious.  Watching elephants stroll near camp with the amazing sunset behind them was a highlight as well. We liked the communal dinners, being able to share experiences with other travelers after a day on safari. The room attendant was very helpful and prompt. We did not use a Lemala guide so we can't speak to that, but we were very pleased with our accommodations, service, and food at the camp. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time at the Lemala tented camp. The position of the camp is excellent and provides a wonderful view of the landscape of the Serengeti. The camp has an authentic vibe, and the team is extremely friendly and genuine. The camp is small, so you might talk to other guests about your game drive experience in the evening or morning. We really liked that! The beds were comfortable, and we slept well. Every evening, we had a bush shower, which worked very well. The food was delicious and the atmosphere in the dinning area was very positive. We will certainly come back.

This was a lovely camp. They had a huge staff that was extremely attentive. The camp and our tent was clean and refreshed multiple times each day. The food was very good and we had a picnic lunch during a daylong excursion that was delicious (not chips and a sandwich).  The logistics of running a camp in the middle of the Serengeti must be challenging, but the staff made it seem easy. 

Our guide, Nam, was very nice and knowledgeable. She listened to what we wanted to see and worked hard to try to find the wildlife.  She was very personable and didn’t mind queations.
