Our family loved this garden style hotel, we stayed in a very generously sized two bedroom villa at the top of the hill. Kids loved the new swimming pool (ignore old reviews about lack of pool!) and wandering on the beach. All the staff were lovely and the crew in the bar/restaurant made the extra effort with kids to make them feel welcome. Everything was well maintained and owners are really friendly. Location is 10-15 walk down the beach or main road to Paje (or 2mins in cab). There are many kite schools, restaurants and beach style shops on the walk. Hotel on the Rock occupies a nice spot where you can retreat from the bustle of the main village. We would recommend making use of the inhouse trip bookings, less stress and better quality than negotiating on the beach (which we did a lot of in Kendwa) , and driver Ayoub is really friendly. We did a great trip to Machamvi with him.
