Totally wonderful place! Staff is very gracious, friendly and caring for all your needs. They went  above and beyond to provide and made us very comfortable. Harriet the manager arranged an International Women's Day celebration and I was invited. I was so blessed by all the women.

I stayed at this 2-star hotel in Arusha for two days before my safari, and I had a pleasant experience. The swimming pool was well-maintained and refreshing, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The rooms were clean, and the beds were neat and comfortable. The service was good, with friendly waiters and well-prepared food. Although it’s a budget hotel, it provided a comfortable stay with all the necessary amenities. A great option for short stays before or after a safari!

This is our second time Safari has booked a hotel near Arusha. The accommodation is clean, and there are hot water kettle and hair dryer. The food tastes good. But when I checked in for the second time, my mother was sick. (The temperature difference between morning and evening is large, so you must bring more clothes). Thanks to the restaurant staff (especially Loveless and Caren) for their understanding, I packed dinner for my family.

The workers at Sunnis Lodge are some of nicest people I have met.  They were ALL so friendly from Angel who met us at the front desk , to Rachel & Rickey helping with getting us ready for the climb.  And the restaurant staff was super kind & great food.

Excellent customer service, hospital staff. Harriet was so keen to details of our booking , planning for my group of 30 days in a short notice, she made it all seamless. The meals are fresh and excellently prepared and presented. The rooms are neat, well kept, clean and spacious.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Summit Lodge with a group of friends. The rooms were impeccably clean, the staff were highly professional, and the food was absolutely delicious. The rooftop offers a breathtaking view of Mt. Meru, adding to the overall charm of the experience. I would highly recommend Summit Lodge to anyone, whether traveling with a group, family, or as an individual seeking a comfortable and serene hotel in Arusha.

Really nice stay at the Summit Lodge. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and cozy and the food was delicious! The garden area was relaxing and beautiful too. The pool was refreshing and the hotel had a lot of privacy. Definitely recommend!

A central hotel, very comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly, the rooms have all the comforts, the food is very tasty and the roof terrace is great to spend a good taro watching Mount Meru and chatting with friends. Fantastic

A Comfortable Stay Before Safari

Unforgettable stays -Always

I sincerely recommend this hotel.

We spent one night here each before and after our safari. 
The Summit Lodge is not so much a lodge as it is a hotel located up the hill from the main road, but more on the outskirts of Arusha, so not much in the area. This was fine for us, as we arrived late afternoon and were heading out early the next day. 
The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds comfortable. Good selection of food in the restaurant, great place for a sundowner, as there is a fantastic view of Mount Meru from the rooftop terrace. The breakfast buffet was good, plenty of options. 
The staff is super helpful and friendly. It was no problem to leave our luggage at the Summit Lodge while we were out on safari.

Loved the hotel because the staff is very warm, hospitable and made us feel very welcomed . 

From the moment we checked in to checked out, we were well taken care by the hotel staff who were always smiling and checking in on us . It really gave us a good impression of Tanzania . 

We gave 4 out of 5 stars as the food in the hotel could have been more varied and more delicious . Also some of the facilities could be a little dated with a few busted lights and lighting that made the rooms look very dark . Lastly, the laundry is very reasonable . The only issue was that they lost/misplaced some of my laundry (my woolen socks) which was not very pleasant as it meant going sockless for the rest of my trip.

This hotel is perfectly comfortable and fine for a stay each side of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Rooms are comfortable with hot showers. 
Wifi ok, not the best or stable. 
Food - breakfast good, pizzas very tasty, everything else on dinner menu that we had was fine but not great. 
Staff friendly enough, some more so than others, some helpful, others more interested in continuing their conversation than doing what a guest asked (I was sitting in reception using the wifi as no wifi in bedroom and a guy asked for another towel as one short in their room, 10 mins later a woman came and asked and refused to leave until had the towel as it was taking so long. The receptionists hadn’t moved or actioned the guys request as they were busy in their conversation and seemed put out that the woman wanted it done straight away and not bought to the room later) However another receptionist super helpful to us and went out of her way to help with one of our requests. 
Overall would stay again, but nothing to rave about.

Wonderful

Summit lodge is a bit inside from the road that I understand,  but the road coming to the lodge itself is too dusty. Anyhow, I liked the place and services that were provided. Friendly but helpful security,  charming receptionist, and helpful staff!
