Sun Moon Starlight Resort House

This property is a 'Minsu'. We stayed in their Moon 1 & 2 Rooms. We engaged with them through a taiwan website, you can try by copy pasting these words '日月星光度假屋' or just '日月星光' to search for the place for other reviews. Once details are confirmed, you can pay the deposit through paypal. Some knowledge in the Chinese language is required since our emails are in Chinese. We were looking for a cheap and minsu place to stay in Sun Moon Lake and this was the cheapest and agreeable rating we could find in websites. They also offer driver services from taichung/chiayi/tainan and around cingjing etc. The place is kind of in the middle of a slope. Pros: 1. Large and spacious rooms. 2. Clean. 3. People there were very friendly. 4. Value for money. 5. Near to the ferry/pier. 6. Many shops around, for souvenirs, fruits, restaurants etc. You can walk their entire town area within an evening. Cons: 1. The room is a bit dated. 2. Only stairs available and it is steep, so your luggage shouldn't be too heavy if you're considering this place. We were lucky the rooms were on the 1st floor, only one flight of steps. Imagine those who are staying on the 2nd floor... 3. The hot water takes some time to start up if you're the first person who's using it. I would say about 15-20 minutes.
