Liyar House of L&K

I had made my online booking at Liyar House via Booking.com. I sent a message requesting directions from the train station and received a reply. However, after walking around in circles I received assistance from the car rental shop which you pass by. Please note that you will not find a sign saying Liyar House. The sign you need states House of L & K. It is situated between two other homestays. I requested someone to meet me in the morning so that I could secure my suitcase. I was advised to show up at 3pm for check in. So I had to leave my suitcase at the station's baggage storage. By the time I returned from visiting downtown, collecting my suitcase and eventually finding the property it was 3.45pm. No one was here to process check ins. After sending two messages with no reply a guy turned up at 4.45pm to check me in. The following day I received an email providing details to access the front door. Bit late. I stayed in the standard queen room with balcony located on the ground floor. The aircon, fridge and TV (english channels) all worked fine. Lighting was good though the balciny light did not work. Hanging space but limited shelf space. The bed had clean linens and comfortable enough to afford a good night's sleep. Power points on one side of the bed with a small sofa on the other. The bathroom had a segregated shower with hot water and excellent water pressure. Bath towels, toothbrush kits and razor blades etc were available in the common room which also had table & chairs, fridges etc. Like most homestays they offer a very good product at an affordable price. However, as I have found traveling around Taiwan, my negative view relates to customer service providing access and check ins. It is consistently problematic.
