Fantastic
2 reviewsI was on a (mainly) surfing trip on the East Coast of Taiwan & wanted to see a bit of the South. Yvonne & Zoe were recommended to me by the girl I was staying with, & I couldn't have lucked in any better. A beautiful & newly renovated hostel set amongst quiet & picturesque farmland, the coast only a 10min drive, this place was perfect for chilling. The space itself is beautiful (as you can imagine when 1 of the owners is a fine artist), & the hospitality was second to none I have experienced in many years of travelling. I was able to choose between my own solo activities or joining the girls on whatever daily activity they may have been up to, which I did several times allowing me to experience a temple celebration, visit to a harbour gallery in Kaohsiung City & sampling many other local cultural experiences. Yvonne is a wealth of knowledge (being a tour guide of note), & you won't want for anything here. Both owners are fantastic personalities & you will find conversation drifting from the profound to humorous & all topics in between. Lots of laughing! Super organised & fitted out, Tian Qi is a fine example of small home-stay style that welcomes you in many ways. (If you're really lucky, maybe the girls will cook for you!) I loved it here - going back asap with my family
