25 reviewsI had a great stay here this past May. The property is very clean and well-maintained. There's also a bar with great cocktails downstairs, which is really convenient for socializing and unwinding after a long day of sightseeing around the area. The hostel's staff as well as its lovely and charming owner was of great help in finding cool stuff to do around town, and they can get you discounted tickets for things like the ferry to Xiaoliuqiu where the green sea turtles live. Other highlights in Donggang include a beautiful temple and a famous tuna market where you can have a delicious seafood meal. To get to The Way Hostel and Bar, you have a couple options if you're coming from Kaohsiung, including the bus and a shared taxi. Or, if you don't mind spending more for convenience, you can just use Uber now that it's available in Taiwan once more.
