90 reviewsWe had another wonderful stay at this family-run hotel for our week-long ski trip to Gstaad. **LOCATION: Extremely convenient, being less than 5 minute walk to the train station and ski buses, and the shopping area. **ROOM: Clean, relaxing, and comfortable. Nice hot showers with good water pressure. The staff do an excellent job tidying up the room several times a day. Ask for a room on the back side if you mind noises from hockey games during the day in the winter. **FOOD: Hearty made-to-order breakfast and delicious home-cooked dinner with huge portions. The breakfast kept us full on the ski slopes until dinnertime. The dinner menu is quite extensive with both Egyptian and non-Egyptian options (can see menu on their website). We tried many dishes and all were delicious. I especially enjoyed the beef stroganoff, mashed potatoes with truffles, and various mezzes including rakakat, kibbe, falafel, etc. Don't forget dessert! I loved trying their home-made ice creams and sorbets. **SERVICE: Christiania hotel truly stands out in terms of hospitality. The owners, Nagy and Isabel, as well as their staff are very caring, friendly, and always go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay for the guests. They even offered to serve us breakfast at 4AM as our train to the airport was very early in the morning. Thank you for your hospitality!
