Panorama Hotel Wagenkehr

Firstly, be warned, this is not a high end hotel. Its more of a tourist cafe/restaurant with some family rooms. Not fancy but in many ways all the better for that - this is a bit like staying with a farming family in the mountains. No ensuite but a bathroom just near our room and showers downstairs. Would have liked a double room. Rooms simple and we had to push the beds together. Location has absolutely stunning views high above Innertkirchen at the head of a gorgeous valley with excellent hiking - we arrived in the rain and it was superb to wake up there in the sunshine and see the views! Were really well looked after by Helena who cooked us a great traditional swiss evening meal - again simple, wholesome. Good breakfast. Different but enjoyable experience.
