We stayed at the Chalet Gletschertal for 5 nights.  Lovely view of the Eiger and of chalets and farms across the street.  Apartment was very clean.  Kitchen had everything you need to cook dinners.  Mrs. Egger was very responsive to any emails I sent her and was available if you had any questions or issues.  The Chalet is about 1 mile from the center of town and is close to a bus stop and a few of
the gondolas/bahns.  Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in this chalet for five days, It is Very clean apartment,  moderate size, Has a balcony over look Eiger mountain, private car parking in lower floor, the house owner Mrs Hidi is very nice and cheerful lady, I have noticed she is working hard to ensure all the apartments meets the the full satisfaction for her guests,  she offered me her private washing machine to be used for the full stay , check in was very easy, she kept a note tag with my name on the apartment door, so you can easly alocate your apartment,  also the car parking place was singed with my name, Grindelwald twon center is within easy 15 minutes walking, I highly recommend this property for travellers to Grindelwald who are not in favor of staying in the center.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December, just before the peak season. Our stay was lovely. The owner Hedi was very nice and very helpful throughout our stay. Free bus service around the village. Approximately 200 meters from the bus stop. The chalet was lovely with amazing views. 

The chalet is modern, gorgeous, and convenient to Grindelwald and all of the best of the Oberland. If you are driving, there is ample garage space, and if you rely on public transport, a 5-minute walk gets you to a bus stop for free access to central train and bus stations. The best part is the kind, friendly, and accommodating landlady--Hedi Egger. She is lively, full of fun, and will make sure you have everything you need for a great stay. I've stayed here in this chalet almost 20 times--each time a better experience than the last. HIGHLY recommended!

Lovely stay in Grindelwald

The best place. EVER.

*** $0 refund for trying to reschedule room!!!  Terrible Service***  

I booked 22 days for my European vacation.  When booking one of my final stays, the calendar month was reset by the system.  I was advised to deal with the property owner directly to reschedule.  

After many attempts to reschedule the owner advised me that they were not willing to reschedule to the correct date.  I offered to accept 1 day fee but the owner countered that if I released the room immediately, they would only give me less than 30% if they rented the room.  If they didn't rent the room, they advised me that I would get nothing (not even the option to reschedule to the correct date which was available).  As this was several months from my visit, I had no choice but to accept their unreasonable terms.  

The week of the booking date, I noticed that all 4 days had changed to fully booked on the booking.com website for this property.  I therefore contacted the property owner to appeal for the full amount of reimbursement as they seemed to have booked all 4 dates.  The owner refused to give me anything (including the 100 Swiss Francs that they agreed to originally) as they indicated that the fact that these were showing as fully booked were an error on the website checked.  

As this room was 'cancelled', I was also unable to rate the owner.  I travel all the time for business and have never had such poor service.   

I would never recommend Chalet Gletschertal at Grindelwaldstrasse 79, Grindelwald, 3818, Switzerland
