40 reviewsAs part of our Tour de Suisse with friends we spent two nights at this epic old establishment in the centre of Evolene. The hotel has been in the same family for four generations and still features some of the original memorabilia. It oozes the atmosphere of the 20th century and its owners do everything to make guests feel welcome. Admittedly there are more modern accommodation facilities, but they do not breathe the same charm as some of the old established and well kept places. Yes the floors are creaking, and the furniture reflect the maturity of the hotel, but everything is clean and well maintained. Rooms have a small balcony that allows guests to experience the mature trees on the section and having a look around the neighbourhood. We enjoyed the generous breakfast featuring, several breads, cheeses, joghurt, boiled eggs, sweet treats and fresh coffee and fresh fruit which set us up for the rest of the day. Great value for money and close to shops and restaurants, as well as many of the typical wooden houses adorned with flower baskets.
