We wanted to see the locations that we read about in the books about the Ystad detective inspector Kurt Wallander. Kulturstallet is an ideal location for your base. The country side views of wheat fields, quiet country roads and sea views are breath-taking. Gabbi and Olle are excellent hosts and will entertain you with their knowledge, warm and generous Swedish hospitality.

Located in the depths of the countryside with wonderful views. This is an idyllic place to visit especially in the summer when the countryside is so lush. The couple and dog who live here are all really helpful and friendly. The breakfast is superb. I was wondering what it would be like 'served in a basket' but what a basket! Almost an Ascot picnic experience. Everything beautifully laid out and fresh. Home made rolls, yoghurt all beautifully swirled in a glass with honey and a raspberry on top. Freshly (hot) boiled eggs with an egg cosy to keep warm. Hams and cheeses.... A wonderful setting with a table outside our bedroom.
The room was different! Furnished in fuschia and lime green was unusual, but how nice to see all the matching accessories. Bathroom was large - in a former stable? The only downside (maybe) was the difficulty in climbing in and out of bed in the middle of the night. Especially for the one innermost. Cash only which is a bit unusual but it stated this clearly on the booking form so it was not a problem.

Set in total rural solitude with views of the sea this is a delightful place to stay.More people should
holiday in Sweden-the locals are charming,the environment is pristine and the cuisine is superb.
The hosts here are extra hospitable and welcoming.As another reviewer said "its' like staying with friends".True and when did you last feel that about a hotel?

What a nice and cosy B&B! In an old farm surrounded by beautiful bright yellow fields there is a very nice Swedish couple which has renovated and furnished 6 rooms each with a soft romantic country style. The Rose Room is perfect for a romantic weekend and a WiFi connection made this review done on the spot! Breakfast is served directly in your room and a welcome tea is offered...better much better than all the 5stars hotel where I have been. 

We had an excellent holiday in Denmark and Sweden this September, and our stay at Kulturstallet provided the highspot. The b & b is a short drive from Ystad and is located in very attractive countryside, with views of the sea. The accommodation is converted from farm buildings and is very characterful, but also comfortable. Our apartment had a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. Breakfast was served on the terrace and emerged from a very large basket! - lots of variety and excellent quality. Our hosts, Ola and Gabbi, were delightful and very helpful and welcoming. Their dog, Isolde, is a delight.
