Not your boring corporate hotel where you are just treated as yet another boring corporate  guest !!
This place is for real travelers ,great location , everything you need is there .
Clean modern comfortable rooms and in the old city that is lovely ,though modern architecture blends with the old as the Swedish do this so well !
Nice and pleasant hotel ,nice owner ,loved the place !

I stayed in the Klipper hotel last summer on business and loved it that much I took my family there this year. It is situated in the heart of the town next to the square the perfect place to stay as its surrounded by lovely café bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was lovely bright and clean  with large nicely decorated rooms. the staff could not have been better and even kept the bar open late some nights if we fancied staying up. If your planning a trip to this beautiful town then I highly recommend this hotel. Ill be back!

we spent 5 nights in the very last may in this hotel. what we liked best is that it is located in a perfect place, the very heart  of the town. also at night through the opened window we liked looking at the light blue (almost white) sky and the cathedral clock which is lit up, and ancient roofs. and listening to  the the street cafes clatter. all that made us relaxed very well.

Good value , Relaxing place !

superb hotel in the heart of the town

I got one of their larger rooms, but it didn't add up to my expectations. It wasn't properly cleaned as I found dust laying around. Two times I found cleaning bottles standing on table/sink when I arrived back in my room in the evening. It seemed like they've been interrupted while cleaning and forgot to come back and finish the job. My room had a bath tub, but no shower. I had to sit and shower in the tub. One evening I came back the personel had left my door open! Luckily all my stuff was still ther, but this was a real unpleasant experience. The reception area is in a real bad shape. It's dirty and dark and not very welcoming. Several mornings I found the staff sitting in the reception with their feet on the desk. They used seemed to not care about being professional. The breakfast was ok. Bread, cheese, ham and eggs. The breakfast area was not cleaned properly which made the experience of eating less pleasant. The wifi was open and very bad. My room didn't have good connection so I had to roam most of the time while there. 
I told the people at my work to NEVER book this hotel again, and I would say the same to everyone who consideres to go here: DON'T!

Do not stay here!

The most positive thing about the Klipper hotel is its central location, just a few minutes walk from the city centre and the cathedral, and around 15 - 20 minutes walk from the train station. When I arrived there, the door was closed and I couldn't reach anybody on the phone number I was supposed to call, so I had to come back later. Even then it took plenty of time before I could check in. My room was very simple, rather of a better youth hostel standard than a hotel, with own WC, shower, and TV, but not much more.  WiFi was offered for free and worked reasonably well. Also on the positive side, the streets were calm and the hotel was very quite, so I got a good night of sleep in the end. The breakfast was o.k. as it usually is at Swedish hotels, but nothing in it was extraordinary. Considering the overall experience, I had expected a bit higher standard for the money I spent.
