Hotel Åberg

Good choice for sleeping close to the lake: it's about 40 minutes from the famous Granna, and also 1 hour from Vadstena, on an impressive route. The hotel is right in the city center, close to many restaurants.

Rooms are big, breakfast average, WiFi ok.

The reception is closed most of the day, with no one there: so if you are planning on arriving out of the check-in hours (16 to 19) call before!! Otherwise, you'll have to go back

This is a small and cozy hotel located in the city centre. The rooms are big but could do with an up-date. The breakfast was good with lots of choices, yoghurt, egg, different types of bred, cheese and ham. Fresh fruit, juice and of cause coffee and tea. Think that the price is a bit to high for the quality but since there are not that many hotels in the city this is probably the place with the best value.

Nice and cozy hotel

Beautiful hotel close to lake Vattern

Had business trip with a group and stayed for 4 nights. Rooms are clean but with two narrow single beds per room. Single bed is too small and unstable. The surface of the wall are very rough and hard with sharp painting points, which will hurt your hands sometimes if no caution to the wall. Breakfast is included but food is very basic and simple, and no much choice. Staffs are very polite and friendly, but no receptionist works after 7pm. Rate is about £85 per person per night, definitely much expensive if compare to UK.

Clean room but bed not comfortable 

Came to Tranås on a business trip together with a friend, and stayed for 1 night. Everything was nice and clean, little traffic noice despite being on the main street. Friendly people in the lobby, good breakfast. Recommended.

Good choice for 1 night stay

A small and simple hotel, suitable for one night stay. Parking at backside. My room towards the backside was quiet but very simple. The front side is against a major road with a lot of traffic, avoid these rooms. Simple breakfast with normal ingredients, nothing special.
