Bed & Breakfast Stockholm Mariatorget

The B&B is SO central, so easy to reach from Arlanda airport, so easy to get to from Stockholm Central Station. The metro was metres from the front door of the building. Just turn right and walk a few paces. We live in the country so the quiet location was a bonus and our room overlooked a leafy courtyard, which was very peaceful. Maybe just gentler bedside lights? But a minor niggle with all the positive points. The landlord, Stefan, had thought of everything! From extra toiletries in the bathroom to somewhere to keep your gloves and hats in the winter. The accommodation was very well appointed and the whole building was great for sound proofing. We slept well and we were grateful for the blackout blind at the window as it didn't get dark until gone 23.00 hrs and was getting light again by 02.00 hrs. There are lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. We found the best choice by turning right outside the building and walking to the crossroads. There were also at least two great supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk, again to the right of the front door. We found it easy to walk up to Gamla Stan from the apartment and exploring Sodermalm is a must as it is a haven of trendy shops of all kinds. By the way - the wifi was so fast compared to what we are used to in rural parts of the UK!!! Thank you for being a great landlord, Stefan!!! This was a 50th birthday trip and I had been waiting to visit this city for over ten years. I was not disappointed and the B&B served us well.
