Bispbergs Herrgård

The other day, after a full day of garden work, we decided to treat ourselves and have a meal at a local restaurant. Normally we would go to Falun where there are a number of good restaurants. Lucily someone told us that Bispbergs Herrgård had new owners with high ambitions. It was a lucky strike to follow the advice. After a glass of cava from the forthcoming and friendly staff; we chose an excellent appetizer followed by a steak for me and a hamburger for my wife. There are not a big selection in the menue, but that is compensated by the fact that what they serve is very well prepared and based on products from local farms. We enjoyed the food as well as the premises and well kept garden and can recommend a visit. Close by the Dalarna history is very present with old beautiful factoris from the time when the factory ownder was proud of his buildings and also, close to the restaurant, there are a hill with a spectacular view over the area from a viewing tower: Bispbergs klack.
