We were at the music quiz at sea lodge (they have it every Tuesday week 27-31). We were allowed to bring our dogs and we all had a wonderful time with amazing drinks. Hats of for the quiz master that made the music quiz fun for all ages, we will be back next year!

The best place for Eat, Music snd seaview. Live Music snd DJ from 12 to 20 o Clock. Nice drincks and Vine. Smøgen hives you real summer vibes for all age. You csn Get there by Walk or With the zita Boats from smøgen of Kungshamn. So next time your Are in  Smøgrn try this great place

Great atmosphere just a short walk from ”Smögenbryggan”. Classic west coast cusine literally by the sea... Well worth a visit! During Sundays, there is live music and outside bar area.
Also, available to arrive with boat.

Traditional west coast environment

Our Norwegian friends brought us here for dinner. The service was excellent and the meal incredible. The fish dishes were just superb. Do spoil yourself and enjoy. A little expensive but that's Sweden.

A small nice lodge with perfect loacation in Smögen. Close to the small shops, restaurants and cafés. The food is just delicate and the service minded staff just great!
We also tested their tub.just great! Small rooms with sink and toilet in the corridor, but all clean and good! Very warm rooms though.  They might have rooms with toilets too. Definately worth a visit!

Pittoresque small hotel located in the West coast archipleago

We went on a roadtrip up the Swedish west coast (best coast!) this summer and stopped in Smögen for one night. Everything was booked so we ended up getting the last family room at Sea Lodge. 

First you need to understand that Sea Lodge is a little off, on the "wrong" side of Smögen harbour. Not that that is really a problem - it only takes 5 minutes to walk around and it is quieter away from the main boardwalk promenade. 

Secondly, Sea Lodge is more of a B&B than a hotel. The rooms are small - very small - and if you are a family of four like us, there will hardly be any room for you move. Indeed, if someone was standing by the sink (no ensuite bathroom) then the main door can't be opened. Like others have said, the rooms facing the front have to endure the singalong, the rooms facing the back are disturbed by staff walking back and forth on creaky planks. 
The bathrooms and showers are down the hall but were very well cleaned and we rarely had to wait our turn. Still, it's nice to have these things in your room. 

These issues notwithstanding - and at €300 a night for around 4 square meters of space it is an absolute ripoff - we still enjoyed our stay at Sea Lodge. The views out to sea, with the lighthouse and the storm rolling in, were spectacular. The breakfast area was cute and the make-you-own-waffles station a nice surprise. The outdoor seating area was spacious and well appointed with glass shielding it from the ocean winds. 

We booked the hot tub outside (bookable for two hour slots, but payable by number of people). It was a great experience that I highly recommend. The barman comes over and takes drinks orders, you can run down to a little jetty and plunge into the (relatively) ice cold sea and you have lots of time to enjoy it. I would say you have to be a bit of an exhibitionist because the hot tub is located next to and slightly behind the stage where a band plays for all the hotel guests, so suck in your tummy every time you get up to go for a plunge in the ocean and look manly doing it too... :) 

Finally a note on parking. There is limited parking and despite arriving at check-in time, there were no spots for us so we had to drive further away and park. Make sure you arrive early. 

It's difficult to sum up this experience. Was it overpriced? Yes. Was it extraordinarily cramped? Yes. Did you have a bathroom and AC? No. But the house is quaint, the location beautiful, the patio, outside bar and hot tub/jetty a lot of fun. Despite all this, I would still recommend it.

Great location and views but most cramped room I ever stayed in!

The location is amazing and we lied the hottub. But, paper thin walls, so impossible to sleep with people partying in the other rooms. Bathrooms not clean. The whole place smells like fish as it's totally connected to the restaurant.

Probably a hostel before the the rooms price was increased, long noisy corridor with a couple of share toilets and share shower. the room was nice and clean with two comfortable single beds. the restaurant and outside area was well appointed, breakfast was ok. the outside deck area is picture perfect.

We got information that check-in was after 15:00. We were there around 16:00. No one was there to check us in and give us a key. Apparently the owner had gone for the day. We could not reach him on his phone either. We started looking for other places to stay, and found a nice apartment at airbnb. 

Apparently check-in was between 15:00 and 16:00, and he sent us a mail after 16:00. Apparently he had tried to reach us on our phones, but nothing we became aware of. 

We still had to pay for four nights stay, even though we never used or got the chance to use our rooms from monday. Awful service and availability.
