I fell in love with Ti Morne on first sight. I was looking for reasonably priced accommodations and this was a recommendation from the folks on the SBH Trip Advisor forum (thank you). I looked them up on TA and found their website and immediately knew I had found my home on St Barth!! I was looking forward to vacation mostly because of this place... And it did not disappoint!! I would return to SBH specifically to stay here again (I don’t think I’d be happier anywhere else.) Ti Morne is the very definition of low-cost luxury. It was everything they said and more! This is thee one place in the Caribbean that I could afford during high season and still feel like I got my money’s worth - that says a lot from an experienced island traveler! We stayed in a standard room with three people - myself, my mom and my son. We had a pull-out bed for the extra person and it was the best we’ve ever had in terms of comfort. The king bed was also huge and I would say the most comfortable we’ve ever had too. The room was large and we didn’t feel cramped at all. Lots of lighting and sunlight. Lots of storage space and two luggage racks. A safe was also provided although not so sure even locking the room would be necessary, lol. Completely safe and quiet. The bathroom was large and modern, plenty of counter space. The shower was a bit small but the abundance of (very) hot water and good water pressure made up for that 10x over! Probably also one of the best showers on any island (of 28). Also had a great window, odd but we really liked that window, lol. The kitchen was very new and very modern and everything worked perfectly! We cooked about 80% of our meals there and had no problems. My mom does bring a few cooking essentials (after 13 yrs of doing this, we got it down) but we could have made do without. And, what, how can you beat that view while preparing and eating meals?!? We could have afforded an upgraded room but wanted the standard specifically because the kitchen is in the front and we utilize it so much to prepare meals, eat and just hang out. The view almost became fake after a few days, like a big picture frame, but we tried to never take it for granted and enjoyed every moment. Speaking of views - can’t get much better than this! Take a short walk up the hill and you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world! Beautiful scenery, very green, and the landscaping was very tropical and absolutely beautiful - very well done. The property was very nicely spaced out, so everyone got a good view and good privacy. (The parking is a bit tight but not a big issue.) The view from the pool was also amazing and the pool was so perfect and refreshing. It was always clean and we always had it to ourselves (the benefit of a very small operation during low season). There were plenty of lounge chairs and most of the deck got sun until after 4pm. We value our pool time and had zero complaints here. Caroline is the most amazing host and absolutely deserves all of the compliments she receives. She is so warm and welcoming and eager to make your stay as easy and pleasurable as possible. They provide beach towels in the office and you can turn in for fresh towels, as needed. (Please everyone, reuse your towels and linens and save precious water.) We required minimal service but the few encounters we had with the staff were extremely positive and I have no doubt they provide five star service to every guest (even at this price point). Aside from the specifics, the room and entire property were also spectacularly clean. Yet we hardly saw any maintenance staff, they definitely keep the tradition of discreteness and subtlety that the high end properties are known for. This is not something we necessarily care about but definitely appreciated. The location was great, we liked being on this end of the island, close to everything, yet felt far away from the hustle and bustle. I cannot find any fault although I would recommend ceiling fans in the room and kitchen areas. Oh, that reminds me, the air conditioning unit worked like a charm. We visited during summer and couldn’t have wanted for better, very efficient and full functionality of options for temp control. And almost no bugs!! I am literally a magnet for mosquitos and always get bit...I came home with not a single bite. We were not at any beaches during dusk (so can’t speak for that), but we enjoyed dusk at the pool and on the terrace/porch every single day and never once used spray. I would absolutely recommend Ti Morne, even to the most discerning guests. As you can tell, we were very pleased with our stay. We almost looked forward to going “home” and spending time at our unit and the pool. We liked St Barth enough but Ti Morne is the deciding factor that would bring us back. Totally wonderful experience from start (booking) to finish (checking out). Keep up the good work Caroline, Tania, staff and owners - you have a top notch operation! Much thanks and appreciation for a great stay! *I think I covered all of the basics, but if you have a question, please feel free to message me.
