We did a family trip to this hotel and stayed from 24 to 26 April. Very scenic location. Accommodating and polite staff. Very good quality food though no buffet was avaliable during our stay. We stayed in a family room which was spacious enough and looked elegant. However, it seemed many of the rooms did not have a good  view, which is a shame when the hotel is at such a beautiful location . The pool is comparatively small and might easily get crowded when the hotel is full. There are many activities/excursions that the hotel offers to arrange which can keep you happy . It's a very short trip to Dambana wedda village or Maduruoya NP.
Overall the stay is definitely worth the price you pay and we'd definitely recommend this for a family holiday. 

A good place for a family vacation 

We stayed at Mapakada Village for four nights as a family, and it was a truly memorable experience. The hotel is nestled in a beautiful, tranquil area right next to a lake, an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The peaceful atmosphere was incredibly calming and made it the perfect getaway.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom, though well-maintained and fully functional, could have been a little more spacious.
The food, however, was absolutely outstanding, some of the best we had during our entire trip! Whether served buffet-style or à la carte, every dish was delicious. Out of the three hotels we stayed at that week, Mapakada Village had the best cuisine by far. The high tea was also a lovely experience. While it’s usually served on a boat, we had to enjoy it indoors due to the weather, but the charm of the experience remained just as special.
The hotel offers various excursions, and we tried two: a guided village tour and a safari at Maduru Oya National Park. Both were fantastic. A special shout-out to Ranushka, our guide for the village tour, he was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable.
The safari at Maduru Oya is a must-do. Unlike the more crowded national parks, this one felt serene and untouched. We saw plenty of elephants and other wildlife, and the park itself is a lush, beautiful forest.
A big thank you to Dinesh, the General Manager, for his warm hospitality. He goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and cared for. Kudos to him and the entire team for doing such an amazing job!
We’ll definitely return to Mapakada Village and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable getaway.

Exceptional Hospitality and Food!

Beautiful property staff were very welcoming from reception to RESTAURANT STAFF SPECIALLY THE DIMUTH AND THE SERVER SPECIAL THANK YOU . Meals were cooked to perfection lots of flavor and presentation was great .  Morning Breakfast was absolutely awesome our favorite srilankan breakfast. Rooms were clean and nice need an update in the washroom. Not a complain .

Visit to Mapakade .

Great place with wonderful observations, calm environment and wooden Observation deck gives more peaceful moments. Accommodation facilities, food and beverages are very interested.

Highly appreciated for Mapakada Wewa Village Staff members for their empathetic support.
Sustainable development system and Mindset energy build up observation technology and Gardening systems are highly recommended.

Excellent stay at Mapakada Village Hotel! Loved the view and the floating breakfast experience. 
If you are a nature lover this is a great place to be.. and the location is close to the town too. 
The food was also good and the staff was super friendly and sensitive to our requests. Great overall experience. Keep it up!

Hidden gem at Mahiyanganaya!

Our stay at Mapaka Village was nothing but sublime. From the delicious food to the very hospitable staff and the wonderful nature that presented to us everyday. Dimuth was extremely kind to us and went beyond what was expected.. 
Our trekking trip to Rathna Ella was extremely adventurous and our naturalist Ushan, guided us every step of the way. He took us to all the hidden secret wonders that the wild had to present.. he was friendly, professional and most of all, an extremely good human.. highly recommended.

We came on a family vacation to Mapakada Village, my whole family has had a wonderful time. We all throughly enjoyed the beautiful infinity pool, along with a peaceful breakfast boat trip around the lake. We took the trek to Rathna Ella Falls with Ushan, he was a fantastic tour guide, ensuring our safety around the water and rocks. Ushan has a vast knowledge about the geographical areas. I highly recommend staying here as all the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way for us all. If you get either Ushan or Dimuth, you're bound for a wonderful experience.

We stayed at Mapakada Village for two nights in a couple room, and it was a really nice experience! The room and all the facilities were super clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food was also really tasty – menu had good variety and everything was well prepared.

The location is just wow! Right next to Mapakada tank with one of the best views you can get in Mahiyanganaya. All the rooms face the tank, so we got to enjoy a beautiful sunrise right from our bed.

They also offer other activities – we went on the Rathna Ella trail and they arranged a great guide, Ushan, who knew the Hasalaka area and the local people really well.

Overall, we had a peaceful and memorable two days. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to relax and enjoy nature!

What an amazing place!

When you arrive the staff will welcome you with a towel to freshen up and a beverage. Checking in is fast and easy.

The rooms are very clean, organised and just everything you need in order to get some rest and relax. 

The staff is amazing. They give you the most warm welcome and you'll immediately feel at ease. If you need something, you'll get it right away. Thanks for that guys! Amazing.♡

The foods and the drinks... Amazing. So tasty! Fast service and perfectly cooked. The cocktails are very good as wellll.♡ 

Then the view. In 1 word.. Amazing. What a treat to be able to enjoy this view. It looks like something from a movie.. The lake, the sounds of the animals, just very peacefull and quiet. Perfect. Really enjoyed every moment of this.♡

Its possible to eat breakfast on the boat. They'll arrange an amazing breakfast with the most amazing view ever. We got if for free as well. So kind and very nice. Thank you guys so much for that.♡

So the overall experience was amazing. If it's possible to give these guys 10 stars, I would totally give it to them.

Amazing Experience. 10 Stars!

An oasis in Sri Lanka! The hotel is located in a beautiful spot, and the staff is very attentive and friendly! The cocktails are delicious, and for breakfast, they served freshly grated cinnamon sticks—a truly incomparable taste! The view of the lake is unique, and there's a fantastic pool! The room has a lake view and a small balcony! We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed ourselves! Thank you for the anniversary cake, it was a wonderful surprise! Highly recommended!
