I stayed here for various nights and had a great time! The family was super welcoming and gave us tips whenever needed. We had tasty, local breakfast and a room with a balcony. Value for money is great so I would recommend. The location is right by center.

Awesome Homestay in Elle

It was a perfect stay for me. 
The accommodation is next to the heart of Ella and easy to reach. 
My room was big and the bed comfortable. 

I got a Sri Lankan breakfast every morning. 

The hosts were are really nice and lovely. They gave me a lot of tips and information about activity’s and showed me some beautiful spots near by Ella. 

There were no problems about the WiFi. 

And the coolest part: it was an opportunity to book an cooking lesson. That was such an perfect, delicious and interesting experience! I learned a lot and we cooked with vegetables which are available in my country.

We had a wonderful moment at the home stay ! The hôtes are super nice, helpful and very generous ! The breakfast is very good ! I recommend this place if you want to stay in Ella !

Very very nice

Really good welcoming. The owners are so nice, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are really clean, spacious and have a Big balconies. There is hot water. Really good and various breakfasts and dinner.

Best guesthouse in Ella

We absolutely loved our time at Nimsara, so much we ended up extending. The rooms have everything you need with hot showers, and the location is fantastic with a short walk to the high street. What made it so amazing was the lovely host family who really go above and beyond. Every morning over a lovely homemade Sri Lankan breakfast the host gave us recommendations to help plan our days. He also helped with onward travel and gave us great advice on how to use public transport. The cooking class in their family home is a must do if you are staying at Nimsara. We made 4 curries and a sambal from scratch, the teaching was so good we definitely feel we can replicate it at home. Choose this homestay for your trip to Ella!

Great family homestay and amazing cooking class

Great location, walking distance to Ella town and all the shops and restaurants.
Unfortunately I fell sick with the flu as soon as I arrived and the owners of the homestay went above and beyond! They really looked after me as if I was a member of their family, bringing me soups and all kind of healing remedies they could offer. I had a great time even if I was unwell and when I felt better, the owner took me for a tuk tuk trip to see the things I couldn’t see. Amazing homestay experience and I will bring them in my heart forever! Thank you!!! ❤️🙏

Amazing Homestay Experience!

Amazing place with great location and the best and nicest hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay special. Rooms are nice and clean with hot water. I also highly recommend taking their cooking class - great experience and amazing food.

Great place in Ella

This was one of the nices places that we’ve been while traveling. The family is very warm and nice. Tharanga’s wife gave me VEGAN cooking classes in their kitchen and it was pretty awesome. They took us to the train station by tuktuk. 

Nice and warm

Such a wonderful experience! Kind and loving family. Authentic and local hospitality with amazing food. They will explain and support everything you wish to do in Ella and the surrounding. We enjoyed an intimate dinner in the nimsara's family house with the other guests.
