Cascade Vally

Travelled throughout Sri Lanka for a month and this is the best place ever. I came back 3 times during my stay. The view is stunning, you have the waterfall just in front of you, the room is lovely and very clean. The family is just so welcoming and nice that made my stay here even better.
This is absolutely my favourite place in Sri Lanka!!!!

Amazing view!! Breathtaking! We enjoyed it so much was hard to leave the guesthouse. Lying down in hammock staring at waterfall was one of my best memories of this trip. The owner is so friendly caring and helpful! 10/10

You have to walk to this place uphill, so if you have heavy bags make sure you take tuktuk. But I really enjoyed this hike, only takes 15 mins. I know some people say it’s dangerous to walk t night, it is quite dark in some parts, turn on the flashlight, but not dangerous at all. Every 2 meters of that road is a guesthouse with people :).  
The way up to guesthouse from the road is quite steep and it’s the reason some people leave bad reviews… but you can walk around the owner’s house to a Yellow/green guesthouse and exit there without going up or down a steep entrance. 
I can say nothing but good things about this place, it was a perfect experience, couldn’t ask for more.

We had a great two night stay here. It’s a good 12 min walk into town along railway track (safe)   The view of the waterfalls is amazing. The peacocks calling to each other was a nice way to wake up. The couple who look after the place are so kind  and helpful. They cooked us dinner one night. They even made sure our favourite Sri Lankan breakfast item was provided ( milk rice)

We really enjoyed our stay at Cascade Vally. The setting is beautiful, the owner was extremely attentive, breakfast was delicious, the rooms were spacious and cool enough with the fan. There is a bit of a path to get there from the road but the owner met us at the road and carried the bags for us. We saw peacocks and the view is of fields and a lovely waterfall in the distance. The location is away from town so it feels secluded and peaceful.

We also had dinner which was rice and curry and delicious :)

What a great stay. 10 min walk into town via the railway. Breakfast was fab and evening meal was great. Rooms were super clean. Don’t be put off by the lack of air con, Ella is cooler and a fan was adequate.

Cascade valley is a stunning homestay with an amazing family time host. Two friends, my wife and I stayed for 4 nights. 
The all action is perfect with only a 10 minute walk into main Ella down the train tracks which in itself is exciting. The view of the mountains is unreal with the Kietha ella waterfall in the distance. The only interruption to the sounds of the birds and nature is the odd train which doesn't upset the feeling of being in the middle of nature at it's best. 
The room was clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom. The fan in the room keeps it quite cool and pleasant to sleep in with a mosquito net over the bed. 
The breakfast here is lovely. Always plenty to eat and different each day. We had a variety across days of samosas, omelette, hoppers and more. Each served with a selection of fresh cut fruit toast with numerous jams and tea or coffee. 
We also ate curry and rice here two nights and again the food was lovely and plenty to go around. 

The best part of this place beyond the stunning views is the host. The family here are amazing. Such genuine friendly and happy people that will help with anything. They organised taxis and tuk tuks for us with ease. He gave directions to local places. We were also there during the bombings in the country and when the curfew was imposed shutting down all local eateries for tea,, having not eaten since breakfast as we were at a waterfall some distance away, the family cooked us curry and rice at short notice even though we hadn't forewarned them. 
A really genuine family who worked hard to make our stay as good as it could be. 
I would happily stay here again if I return to Ella and would highly recommend it to any visitors to the region. 

Simple rooms but very clean, with wonderful views of the valley. Good location for exploring Ella, just a short tuk tuk or 10 minute walk into town. Very peaceful. Great breakfast and very friendly hosts who make you feel very at home.

A beautiful view directly on a waterfall. very loving children, interested, helpful and friendly hosts. varied and delicious breakfast. not too close and not too far from the hustle and bustle of mainstreet - all around optimal.

Wonderful guesthouse and very friendly host. We had an beautiful view of the valley. Easily accessible to Ella rock, town and nine arch’s bridge. Home cooked meal by our host... the best Sri Lankan dinner I had thus far. I would highly recommend . 

We arrived in the evening and were welcomed by the owner who helped with our bags in the rain down a long path. He was so friendly and helpful. Our room was nice with a fan and a small balcony to enjoy the view. Bathroom was spacious and had everything you needed. It is a little bit out of town, up and around a hill but easy enough with transport.
