Very good hotel, welcoming personnel. We’ve had a perfect stay. Delicious food. Beware though, that on the beach you can be offered a trip around Sri Lanka by a person named Maes. We went with him on a trip, which went well, but in the end he tried to get away without paying the change. Hotel management can think of partnering more with reliable local travel agencies to offer short, half day trips to the nearest tea plantations and natural wonders like mangrove forest.

We recently spent two wonderful weeks at Mayavee Resort & Spa on a family holiday, and everything at this resort was beyond our highest expectations. The value for money was incredibly good. 
Mayavee resort is very well located, it's newly built on a small hill overlooking Unakuruwa, which is a beautiful beach. The views from this resort are stunning, as are the spectacular sunsets. The beach below is easily accessible by foot from the resort and it's not crowded. It offers good swimming and also has a good surf break. Surfboards are available for hire on the beach. There are at least two bars/ cafes on this beach.
Nearby are the famous Hiriketeya and Unawatuna beaches, all accessible via the readily-available and well-priced tuk-tuks.
Mayavee has two swimming pools and a restaurant with bar, which serves delicious and abundant food from both Sri Lankan and European menus. 
All the staff at Mayavee are very welcoming and hardworking. They are always eager and ready to help with whatever needs one may have. 
A particular mention goes to the resort's owner, Mr. Nurwan, whose hospitality is legendary. We were treated by him like royals! 
A special mention also to the manager of Mayavee, Mr. Asanka, who worked tirelessly to make our stay as luxurious as possible. 
The rooms were spacious, air-conditioned and luminous, the beds and pillows were super-comfortable, the modern and very clean bathrooms had all the necessary toiletries.
This has been one of the most relaxing and restful holidays in our family's history, and we do love to travel as a family.
We'll definitely be back again!

My wife and I decided to spend a fabulous honeymoon on the shores of the beautiful country - Sri Lanka. Our choice fell on the Mayavee Hotel and ten days of our vacation were unforgettable! Stunning rooms, incredible ocean views, insanely delicious breakfasts and dinners! And the most important thing is the hotel staff, who make every effort to make your stay unforgettable.

The room is large with a bath and shower overlooking the sea, a balcony, most of the staff speak English one way or another, they are friendly and polite. They love children very much. Our son is one year and 10 months old, he always waved and gave high fives 🖐️. They even took pictures. They cleaned it every day, they arrived by the time they asked, you can always ask for water and they will give you as much as you need. Tea and coffee are replenished in the room free of charge. But we need to be reminded. Everything in the refrigerator is at the same price. Clean towels every day. 
Asanka, helped my husband find flowers for my birthday and brought them. 
Various animals often come to the balcony. 
We took breakfast/dinner. No regrets! For breakfast, sometimes fresh milk, tea, coffee. They fry eggs, pancakes, eat porridge, rice, sweets, and fruits. We weren't hungry. For dinner there is always seafood, a couple of salads, various rice, curry, fruits, sweets, ice cream. All drinks except water are paid. There was live music every evening. Well done musicians. 
The whole hotel is steps and a high rise. I couldn’t get used to it for a couple of days, but my legs are toned, better than any gym 😂
We liked the hotel, we didn’t regret choosing it! ❤️
Silent is amazing, sometimes you are all alone on the beach. And that's cool! But immortals swim 😂 Unakuruwa, the beach that can be seen from the window is calmer, but also less beautiful.

I am writing on behalf of my parents Ekaterina and Igor who stayed at your resort for the first 2 weeks of February 2024.

The Resort with outstanding service, and stunning rooms with breathtaking views. Everyone who worked at the resort during their stay was an essential part of their experience, front-line staff, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and even the hotel General manager who came to greet them - everyone contributed so much to my parents' wonderful holiday. 

Breakfast and dinner were included in the stay, breakfast was very nice, especially coffee and tea. Dinner was based on primarily seafood of excellent quality and presentation which my parents absolutely adored. 

There is a stunning beach within 5 minutes of walking distance, it is very safe to swim without any currents. You can rent a lounge chair there for an extra price if you like. The lounge chairs were very comfortable.

There are plenty of opportunities to book a tour (private or with a group). My parents went to Galle (a beautiful city with some Dutch influence). 

My parents would like to thank you for taking care of them. We are a family that is very well-travelled and this is the first time my parents were blown away by the service and genuine hospitality of the people of Sri Lanka.

The Mayavi Hotel is a place where the waiter will turn the handle of the tea cup towards you so that you can more conveniently enjoy the taste of Sri Lankan tea. Beautiful panoramic view, caring staff, delicious food, comfortable rooms. The atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation.

I love this place, just love. I’m quite experienced at staying with 5 star hotels, but this on is way above them all. The team is of the kindest lot - every single person is very attentive and helpful. And with all sincerity - not for the sake of getting some tips. You see and feel that they care. And I felt that I could trust them all - they all were persons of so much dignity. Special thanks go to Supun, Nuraga, Danushka, Sahan. And of course Asanka. I love you all, guys!
Also it’s necessary to mention that the cleanness and the food were exception , just excellent. I don’t know who’s the chef, but he’s glorious. Every day we had new dishes for the meal. 
In the room everything was working perfectly. Also totally loved the design - my 2 floor room had its own lawn on the balcony! My own terrace. Just awesome. There was just nothing to wish for , honestly. 

The place was hard to find and up a very steep hill. But then WOW! It is totally worth the effort to find this place. It is beautiful, spotless, and the food is some of the best we had anywhere in Sri Lanka. I would say the coffee was the very best! But what makes this place really special is the staff! Every single one of them want to ensure your stay is perfect. They are an absolute delight and always smiling. I cannot list how many extra little things they did to make our stay extra special.  I hope to return to this place over and over. On top of all the ‘secret beach’ is a short walk away and gives you a real look into a part of this area untouched by development. I’m sure it won’t last long.

We had an unforgettable vacation staying in this hotel! Very comfortable and quiet place, amazingly amiable staff, always ready to help you whatever you need. Rooms are stylish, clean and bright, with a lot of space inside. The pool has the most gorgeous panoramic view of the ocean and the landscape.
Fresh and delicious seafood every day. 
I would strongly recommend to book the sea view room, it’s really awesome! Hope we will have the opportunity to come back to this beautiful hotel!

We had an amazing 3 nights at Mayavee and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic and luxurious stay on the south coast. The location of the hotel is wonderful with magnificent views overlooking the bay, particularly from the infinity pool. It is a short walk to the stunning Silent Beach and easy to get to the surfer’s paradise that is Hiriketiya Beach. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The cocktails, breakfasts and dinner were all delicious and the spa was fantastic after a day of surfing. We will definitely be coming back.
