We arrived at the hotel late after getting the train, the hotel was a bit out of the town so we asked where we could eat. They managed to feed us in the restaurant, we had rice and noodles with beer which was so tasty! The room was ok, large beds and clean, the bathroom was a bit basic but the usual standard for Sri Lanka. They told us there was no time for breakfast so to just get up when we were ready. In the morning, there was a table set for us and breakfast was served. There was lots of wildlife around the hotel. The hotel owner organised us a tuk tuk to visit the ancient city and looked after our bags for us whilst we did that.
