Very good for budget and clean room with tasty restaurant. Nice garden with helping staff. In main road so easy access. Very clean room with good A.C. enough parking facility. Meals were supreb. Especially seafood and srilanka menu.

We could find nothing else for about 40$ in this area as everything was a bit more upmarket and upaveli was booked out. The hotel looks from outside really nice but the rooms are too hot, the balcony is no real balcony, before or during our stay the lock of the door was damaged, no mosi nets and the bathroom is too small. The service staff is nice but there was something unpleasant about the owner. The so-called restaurant is also not a real one, i.e. you have to wait for your food 2-3 hours.

If nothing else than here but don't expect much

We have been directed to this place because of an overbooking elsewhere. This place is to avoid, filthy bathroom, no electricity between 11pm and 7 am therefore no air conditioning (that you have paid for). They will tell you that the whole village has no electricity which is a lie since the nearby mosk is able to announce the 5.30 am prayor using loud speaker. The hotel has a power generator (right below our room) in case of electrical failure, which add to the whole lie about having no electricity. Largely too expensive for what you get (around 50$ US).

Only and only if you have no other choice

When we first arrived we were really pleased with the location of the hotel (~400m from the beach), the nice garden and restaurant on site. 
HOWEVER: 
- balcony door didn't shut or lock 
- bathroom door didn't shut or lock 
- toilet did not flush
- no mosquito net (and lots of mosquitoes) 
- cockroaches
- mouse in the kitchen 
- 1.15 hr wait for food when promised 30 mins
- no bin in bathroom and took 2 days and to ask three times to get one. 

Then the owner... He was all smiles and seemed lovely from the off. This too seemed the case when he promised our laundry back to us in 2-3 hours (a batch we'd previously had washed for 300). 

26 hours later this was returned to us (with two pieces lost for 2000Rs.) We settled for 1000 as it was distressing my girlfriend so much to negotiate with him who clearly would not be swayed. 

The only redeeming factor is the close beach and the charming staff. It's a shame about the owner. 


Come for a poor room and to be cheated. 

We arrived there late... the hotel was empty... we negotiate the price but at the end they ask us to pay also for the driver...

High cost for rooms with mosquito, cockroach and a lot,  really a lot of rats poop everywhere! 

They look really kind giving us food at 9:30/10 pm... but then they charge a lot for simple curry rice... and for a canned beer... 500 ! The local beer! Where usually,  in good restaurant is 150/200 !!
