Our favorite stay in Sri Lanka!  Which is telling a lot since Sri Lanka is full of amazing places...The 2 sisters who run the hotel were the warmest, nicest, friendliest people we met in this country full of friendly people. Although communicating in English is still a challenge, they went out of other way to make us feel welcome.The whole place is incredible: 2 spacious and very comfortable rooms in a great building amidst a very big garden and at the other side the beautiful restaurant terrace where the sisters serve delicious and copious breakfasts and dinners.  Always with a view of the lagoon, filled with numerous birds, bordered by palm trees. We enjoyed a nice walk along the sandy roads along the lagoon to another paradise like beach and amazing canoe trip on the lagoon. We were really sad to leave this beautiful place but felt like we gained a new family.

We absolutely loved staying here. The rooms are fabulous- very large , spotlessly clean and with a balcony big enough for doing yoga as well as a place to chill. Very comfy bed. Early morning you will see so many beautiful birds. We didn’t bother going to the beach until afternoon ( only 10 mins walk away .... it was nice to be tucked away a bit) Beautiful gardens.  What makes this place extra special is the ladies that run it ..... I honestly don’t think we would have had better service in a five star hotel- nothing was too much trouble and many little kindnesses. I’d urge everyone to book this lovely place!

You will have to try very hard to find somewhere with such beautiful
tranquility. Overlooking a lagoon, this is a bird watchers paradise, with many different species including ibis, kingfisher and
eagles. Plus peacocks strutting their stuff on the spacious, well planted, lawns. The lagoon is to salty to support mosquitoes, thankfully. 

There’s only 4 spacious guest rooms on the whole plot, which is a large one. 

Two sisters, for whom
notjing is too much trouble, run the place in a charmingly unhurried fashion. 

Arriving quite late on Christmas Eve, we struggled to a second tuk tuk, to take us into town - so the ladies kindly lent us their scooter. 

Although tasteful appointed, the rooms are almost Spartan. A wardrobe and drawers wouldn’t go amiss. Nor a fridge. It’s a shame there’s no WiFi in the rooms. I’d have happily paid a higher room rate for these.  

The beach and a few restaurants are a 10 minute walk away. We did stroll
along the beach into town one day, refuelling at a couple of bars on the way - we generally relied on tuk tuks though. 

The access road is very poor in parts, so I wouldn’t recommend scooter hire for novice riders. 

But overall a lovely place, which is thoroughly recommended. 

We bumped into this place by chance, and what a nice find! The place is run by two lovely sisters that work hard to keep the place tidy and pleasant. The place is really clean, cute, decorated with a lot of charm, and spacious. What a pleasure to wake up at 6am, get on the balcony, observe and hear the many different animals that live nearby (especially the peacocks!). The beach is 5 min walking and is deserted. This is the perfect place if you want to rest in a calm environment, close to the nature’s life.

We had a really nice stay. Beach is just a 7min walk away and it's not touristic at all! In the room in was a bit humid because the a/c was not working but the fan was in place. Peacocks are also dancing in a garden at 6:30-7:30 in the morning : ) you can also choose between Western and Sri Lankan food. We tried both as we stayed for 2 nights which was great. And the shower was good too! Would definitely recommend the property.

Found this place just exploring on the scooter. We took the top story room between two of us, which was fantastic. It has a huge terrace overlooking the lagoon. Saw so many types of birds, plus peacocks displaying in the garden. Really quiet and peaceful, and the two sisters running the place were super friendly and helpful. Excellent place to unwind.

Very friendly family run place with to big and nice rooms with bathroom and so on. Its all very newly build and clean. It's at little walk from the beach but we thought it was made up for by the extremely friendly staff. 

We staid there 2 nights and could have staid a lot more. The building is brand new and rooms are really really comfy. Surroundings are great too. WiFi works well. Food is very good too. And the staff is incredible! So friendly :)
