Excellent service, great food and the staff went above and beyond. Special thanks to Benedict who made our visit a real pleasure! So much so we went back the next day. Lovely garden to sit outside. Fabulous tea - very worthwhile and would definitely recommend this hotel!

This is a fabulous olde world style hotel full of antiques and charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The gardens are meticulously kept and perfect for relaxing in after sightseeing - especially with a nice cold beer from their bar, the 19th Hole Pub. This is a good old fashioned bar playing great music, serving cold beers and mixing wonderful cocktails - get Pradeep to make you a Tequila Margarita 🍸! Then dine either at your table in the bar or garden or in the formal dining room choosing from a very reasonably priced menu and have Benedict recommend rice dishes of the day and serve you with very generous portions - try the Garlic prawns 🍤  🍤 🍤 Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough, Ho there, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at a hotel near by and had lovely food at this restaurant so much nicer than our hotel. Nice surrounding and friendly service.  Highly recommend.  Welcome real fire on entry. Not busy but hopefully that will get better for them as they deserve it.

Nice hotel located in Nuwara Eliya. The hotel reminds about a western style, British country side hotel and is also good looking- both interior and exterior. The staff are fantastic and the service the best! The chinese food was so good here (it’s their speciality here) and the location is really the best, surrounded by tea plantages and beautiful nature! And they have a fantastic pub here too🤩

This English inspired hotel  is so cozy and really authentic! I love the English culture and this felt just like it. The rooms are clean and very nice, amazing food, friendly and helpful staff with lots of things to do close by. We enjoy tea factory and teplantage in the area.

The staff were great, super friendly and we were made to feel comfortable straight away with a fresh hot face towel and a cup of tea, even got a free welcome head massage. Everyone was helpful with places to go as well as recommendations for the next stop of our trip. Your also next to the Grand Hotel opposite Victoria park so location is great but the thing letting the hotel down was the building needs a refurb. Bathroom door didn't shut as the wood had bowed, paint on the walls and ceiling were patchy, needs a little TLC but overall a great looking place and we were well looked after.

This os a very warm and sweet hotel just located near the town centre. Everything is just nearby and the the hotel itself is in good vibe. The garden, bar and the common room are a highlight for the hotel. I especially like the fireplace in the common area.Staff are super nice and helpful. Sincerely thanks for the staff who provide great help for the transport information for my onward journey.

It was a short business trip. Though the property is older,  I like the ambiance.  Particularly I appreciate the staffs who support us well. Good food, old style experience.  Front desk people were supportive, I thank Lakshmi for the good support offered. Well done guys!

Old style hotel, very comfortable.  Staff are excellent and can't do enough for you.  Some areas may need a bit of updating, but on the whole very good. The food is excellent.

Great stay!

In the Heart of the town.

Warm and sweet

Stayed for overnight and it was good. Reception was good and with a welcome drink.  It was a quick check-in. Rooms are good and spacious. You have food court and in store next store which is good and have lot of options in the restaurant. Bus stand is walkable and the oldest post office too. Victoria park is walkable and it was awesome. Food in the morning is more of Srilankan style and it would be good to have some options there. Stay was good.

This hotel is in 5 minutes walk from nuwara eliya town,wow this a colonial bungalow .seema quite old and the ambiance was perfect. Friendly and attentive staff. The rooms a quites specious and the rate is also reasonable. Thank you Glendower staff for making our stay a memorable one.keep up the good work

Attentive staff

This hotel is in the city near the famous Grand hotel and it's walking distance to many places such as Nuwaraeliya town, Victoria Park & Race course. It has a beautiful garden and the interior is also gives you a rich colonial atmosphere. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. Overall we had a good time there and happy to visit this hotel again. 

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the city

Hotel Glendower is ideally located in the middle of two of another excellent hotels, The Grand and Araliya Green Hills, as we were being in the both before and wanted a quite atmosphere, we chose this hotel and this little place did not dissapoint us at all.

excellent hotel with very quite environment, a nice garden and a good bar. the staff was very professional and helpful and the food too was good. 

if you plan to stay peacefully in the heart of Nuwara Eliya for a longer period, this is the place you must try. the rates too are reasonable comparing to what it offers. We'll for sure visit back again to this wonderful hotel.

A gem in the heart of Nuwara Eliya

This is cute little hotel in heart of Nuwara Eliya. Among thousands of properties, I finally selected this hotel because of the location, price and good communication. 
Rooms are spacious, well furnished, has cable TV, a safe, a fridge and a very good bathroom with uninterrupted hot water.
Staff is very friendly, caring and attentive. 
We booked 2nights half board basis. English breakfast is excellent. Their Chinese dinner is average but the second day Western dinner is delicious. I recommend to order Western for dinner. Fruit juices and soups are very good too.
Hotel has a well maintained beautiful Garden, a cute English pub and well furnished and decorated interior.
We are well satisfied for the price we paid and I definitely recommend the hotel for family and couple stays.

Cute little Hotel in the Heart of Nuwara Eliya 

My wife and I stayed at this British styled Glendower Hotel in N' Eliya , from 18 to 20 September 2020 with some of my school friends. It was a very pleasant and a homely stay  I would say. The staff was very courteous and treated us very well with some good food. Their GM Mr. Malcolm was always helpful and personally  looked into the needs of all in-house guests. 
The Hotel is also very clean , all floors well carpeted with large rooms with very  beautiful décor. The washrooms also very colonial type and clean.
We take this opportunity the Thank Mr. Malcolm, Milan and the rest of the team for looking after us well.
