Pastissade Beach

After my family and I first stayed in another hotel in Tangalle, which had no real flair for us, we spontaneously decided to change the location and went directly to Pastissade Beach the next day and moved into the house with the two rooms. We were immediately warmly welcomed by Samith (the barkeeper) who got us some coconuts from the palm tree. We were immediately enthusiastic about this place, because it triggered exactly this magic feeling in us, which we had missed before. The rooms are clean, stylishly designed and the view is phenomenal ! Between the palm trees and the hammock you have a direct view of the beach and the sea. The beach is clean and absolutely paradise. The water is a little bit wavy, so that you can't really swim in it, but it is enough to cool down. From time to time, some tourists walk on the beach or stop in the Pastis Cafe that is located beside it, but otherwise it is deserted. For the first time we had not hoped much from the food...I mean it is "only a beach cafe"....but we were very wrong! The cook prepared us fantastic and homelike food around the clock, so that we passed praise to the kitchen every evening...the owners spoiled us every day from morning to evening. No matter if it was delicious cocktails or special wishes for which the waiter drove to the village - every wish was fulfilled. We simply had to extend our stay so that we spent 4 days there. It felt much longer to all of us, as we experienced so much and built up a really familiar relationship. The owners always tried to make sure we had the best time of our trip and also made it possible for us to go on excursions, like a canoe trip or a massage in the village. We would come back anytime and think it's a must-see, must-do, must-taste & must-feel of a Sri Lanka trip !
