Kandy Mountain Resort

Kandy mountain resort, formerly known as the Jeewa Lanka resort. Name has been changed after the recent change in management. Though their website is still running by the previous name. On a recent trip to srilanka, the travel agent booked me this resort as i had asked for a place away from the hustle n bustle of kandy city. This place is about 3 kms from kandy bus stand on the way to katugastota. Its a villa with 5 rooms. The rooms are decent enough. Dont expect any luxurious outfits in here as its a budget place. There are 3 airconditioned rooms and 2 non airconditioned. Since the villa is located on the mountain slopes, it offers a good view of outskirts of kandy city. The inhouse chef prepares some real nice authentic sri lankan delicacies and western food. The restaurant menu though not elaborate at all, still is fair enough to take care of regular needs. As I was alone during my stay here, i always had a choice of my liking. Special mention of Mr. Sumit, the manager of this place, who took efforts in ensuring my stay overhere was hassle free. This place is perfect suited for tourists intending to visit places around kandy in the day and returning back in the night. Most of them like sigirya, dambulla, nuvara eliya, pinnawaala and needless to say kandy city are well within limits to be completed in a single day. So bed n breakfast is the right thing to choose from the packages. Since its away from the city, this place gets quite lonely at night. But it ensures u get sound sleep. Overall a decent place to stay in. Do not choose if you dont like quiet locations, or if u wish to stay within the city. Or if u are looking out for luxuriuos accomdations with all facilities readily available. This place offers good wifi, laundry, and a very friendly staff always at your disposal.
