I was with my family for 02 days at this place. It was a great place for the price we paid which was around $15 in local currency.

It is a two roomed apartment which has a common bathroom, kitchenette, a living and dining area. For the price of the room you get to enjoy all this. Plus you have Satellite TV and hot showers as well. Place is in a quiet neighborhood and in the mornings if you go out to the garden you can see birds and squiddles in the trees dancing and singing. There is a river view very close to the location as well, however the owner told us that it is seasonal as you may see it if happen to travel during the rain season as the property is boarding the reservation area for river over flow.

I would recommend this place to families who want to be a bit away from the city (4-5Km) and want a nice quiet place at a very reasonable price with all required facilities.

If you are at Kandy and looking out for a nice quiet place, this is the place you are you are looking for. 
It is not exactly located inside the city but the city buses are quite frequent. This place is 10-15 mins away from the core. But it is totally worth it. It overlooks a river. 
The owner is so gracious. She welcomes you with a smile.

The place is a two bedroomed apartment with hall dining area. We paid for a room but got  the entire place for ourselves as the other room was not booked. 

For the price we paid $32 it was worth as we had a fully private home with satellite TV, with sofa, bathroom with hot water etc. 

Getting to kandy city was easy as its just walking distance to the nearest bus halt and plenty of busses in that route. 

It's also located in a area were u get a supermarket, wine and dine available. 
However the holiday home only provides breakfast so you need to get your other meals sorted. 

Suggest this place for budget traveller or  family as its a private secure place. Also if your on a long stay it will be value for money at the price we paid.

We stayed recently for 7 nights. 

The place is clean and homely, clean and safe. It has hot water and a good sized balcony for sitting on in the evenings. We didn't use the living room as we went out every day but it's a good size for 2 people. 

Tea and sugar is provided but not milk. Fresh milk isn't readily available in Sri Lanka. Crockery and cutlery is also provided.

We ate out every day but the owner provides food at an extra cost.

It's quiet during the day and there's not much to do but it's not too far by 3 wheeler to Kandy-about 300 LKR and it takes around 20 mins. This place is a good place to stay when you want to see Kandy but don't want to pay Kandy prices.

We only took one room but it was a very good size and the bed was comfortable. We took our own plug in mozzie repellent but she had already provided one. There's a net above the bed.

This is a very homely place and I will be staying again, we enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient for our needs.

Kundasale Homes was one of the best places to be if your on holiday and is not looking to stay in a hotel but in a homely comfortable environment. The holiday home is a two bedroom apartment with Hall, Dining room and Bathroom. It also has a incredibly large balcony where you could have a sit out or drink enjoying the breeze. Since its a family owned holiday home the lady provided us with good service, willing to help us when we needed. She suggested us with places of interest and what we could do over here. The accommodation is well worth the price you pay and is comfortable and close to Kandy city. Place was clean and safe, and there is no lockout since the apartment has a separate entrance. Your provided with complimentary tea which you can make yourself to your preference. They also provide you with plates, drinking glasses, tea cups, electric kettle ets. If you want they provide breakfast on request for an additional fee. You could easily get food and other stuff you need as there are restaurants, liquor shops, supermarkets and ATMs within walking distance. If you wish to have a swim or play tennis you could easily visit the Earls Regency hotel which is walking distance away or if you want to be more adventurous the Mahaweli river is just around the corner to provide you with a dip. This holiday home is close to the Victoria Golf Club which is one of the picturesque golf clubs around.  I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a budget holiday and who want to stay on BB basis.
