Hotel was good for a family to stay; you can book for whale watching from the reception only - but was a bit expensive. Driver stay facility was available; provided it was booked through booking.com and have the confirmation details. Room was good and the overall service was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at sea breeze hotel. It was basic but actually had more facilities than some hotels in Sri Lanka that we paid double for, such as fridge, kettle and toiletries. The pool was nice, we sunbathed there and up on the rooftop. The room wasn’t made up, we didn’t expect it to for the price but the bin was very full and we ran out of toilet roll. Would have been nice to have a hand towel and maybe one to step on from the shower. Apart from that, no complaints. The staff were lovely and a really good location too! 

We really enjoyed our stay here. We hard a large room with hot showers . The staff were very helpful and friendly. They were very kind to our little boy and welcoming . They organised taxis, tuk tuks and scooter hire for us. There was plenty of food at breakfast.  The pool was great and our toddler really enjoyed it. It was great to see it being cleaned regularly. We would definitely stay here again.

Great for the price 

Good location on quiet street

We booked this place because we found ads mentionined shared kitchen, but during our stay we have been wondering wether the boss was annoyed by us using it or not. We double checked the info and realised that this service had been removed by the ad that we had read, so there might be a new, different policy about it: check before booking if the kitchen is important for you. 
Our room was good, the pool is ok, but should be filtered a bit better, the location is a little far from everything and the road to walk is a bit dangerous, so going to the beach, to the supermarket or to the restaurants is not a nice stroll. Internet works very well, but only in the pubblic area not in the room, where the line is absent. The woman who works there is really lovely and kind and the boy of the staff super efficient and helpful.

Good, but a bit far from the local services, in front of coconut island.

Pretty much what you'd expect for this price point. Rooms are a decent enough size, but basic. Strange to have a kettle in the room but no tea, coffee or even cups. Staff were friendly and polite. Wifi was fine for basic stuff, but useless for anything requiring more data. The room wasn't made up at all. I wouldn't expect a thorough cleaning for a two-night stay, but would expect that someone would at least make the bed, empty rubbish etc.

Fine for the Price 

The accommodation itself was clean, the kitchen staff very friendly. The food was good and the beds very comfortable. The manager of the hotel offered us to massage us cheaply. He showed us good reviews of his massages and we agreed. In the end, we were sexually harassed, immoral touched and exploited. In the end we were forced to write him a good review. His sheltered wife and daughter then had to cook for us while he smelt increasingly alcoholized. After this experience, the kitchen staff let us know that this was not the first time. The manager did not leave us alone for the next few days. Constantly knocked on our room. I do not know if this manager is still working there, he fired the cook after he heard us and he said he was jealous because we like the cook. It was really a terrible experience and I would, if this manager still work there avoid the accommodation !!

The room and the pool were nice and clean. We were there for 3 nights and for the price we are not sure that it was worth it. The furnishings in the room were below par (all doors were slightly dodgy, and no bedside tables). The breakfast wasn’t great however the staff were lovely and attentive. 


Average

Rooms are small and smelly. Food was simple. Kitchen staff was good but reception staff were not able to manage and satisfy customer. They initially confirmed a whale watching rate but after the trip they started demanding more saying taxes were extra. Not happy staying in this hotel.
