4 reviewsStayed here while taking my PADI open water certificate. The location close to the main Hikkaduwa beach is really great if you want to be smack in the middle. The CatiPe Lodge is not on the beach but behind the main road just next by to Tamara guesthouse. The room was simple but nice with a well working AC and a fan. The bathroom clean and nice with old style tiles (but who cares). New showers; one rainshower with nonheatad water and one separate with warm water... I used the rainshower all the time. The CatiPe have a very well working wifi. Actually it is as good as the one i had att Cinnamon Red in Colombo - stable and strong. Amazing for a guesthouse and very good as I i was planning for my trip ahead. You can have breakfast for an extra charge but I chose to take it outside trying out the places along the road. Just positive? There are one drawback and that is the location close to railway - all the guesthouses along this strip has this "problem" so nothing specifik for CatiPe Lodge but well worth mentioning. All in all a very good place that I can recommend!
