If you're looking for something very special, you're right here: off the street and quietly situated, a great plot of land with a garden, pool and a very nice and open villa. There can be up to three parties living here, each with a nice room and an outdoor bath. Two employees change every day and are always approachable and take care of breakfast, among other things. Mohamed in particular is very friendly here and can speak very well English. From here you can walk to the beach in 5-10 minutes and to Unawatuna Beach in 5 minutes by TukTuk.

Genius villa with nice pool

It is rare that a house lives up to the pictures on the website but this one did just that.  It was stunning; the minimal, architect designed villa, the pool, the beautiful grounds, the location - the way it nestles in the jungle, the rooms...just the whole ambiance of the property.   It made for a really wonderful stay.  Kalpani and Mohammad, rotate on a 24 hour basis and are fantastic, there if you need them but unobtrusive.  The lovely owner went out of her way to juggle our tricky flight schedules and afforded us a truly special stay over the Christmas period. The villa is only a 5 minute walk from the beach and to some good restaurants. We loved Rockside for it's proximity to the beach, sea and turtles popping up their heads in the waves.  We will most definitely return this little slice of paradise.

An Outstanding Stay

Great accommodation with nice staff and only three rooms. Together with the generous garden and pool, there is a very private atmosphere. Traveling by car without problems. With the rockside, the wijama beach and the runcible spoon are three good restaurants nearby! In addition, the kitchen of the house is very good and likes to prepare local cuisine! Service, cleanliness, etc. are perfect.

A Good Place to Relax

Best stay we had throughout our whole Sri Lanka trip. Found this hidden gem on Agoda and it was worth every single penny we spent. The location is just off the beach, around a 5 min walk. The place is 100% secured and has a guard on site 24/7. Villa is modern, clean, stylish and everything you are looking for for a relaxing and comfortable stay by the beach. The host is friendly and welcoming. She asked us for our preference for meals and gave us recommendations for great restaurants nearby. She is flexible with our meal times and our check our time and definitely made us feel like home. There is a pool on site that is cleaned 1-2 times a day. The outdoor shower and bath is secured and one of a kind experience. The host made us dinner for the first night for 5000 rupees (2 people altogether). Definitely made us more than enough food and was really delicious! Breakfast was great too! The fresh curd is way better than the ones we tried at the other hotels we stayed at. Nothing to complain about this hotel at all. The beach nearby is also a rather quiet one with friendly people everywhere (way quieter than Unawatuna). Although you don’t get a beach view at this location but we actually like being a little away from the crowd and an exclusive area to ourselves. Will definitely come back to this location and will recommend this location to any of our friends who are visiting this area. 

Everything was perfect, will definitely come back to this exact Villa next time!

We stayed as a family (with adult children) for four nights and it was the perfect location. We were five people in total and rented all three available rooms which meant that we had the whole villa to ourselves. The staff were kind, competent, and really helpful. The breakfasts provided are excellent and we loved the variety, a great combination of traditionally Sri Lankan food (we love the egg hoppers and the curd and treacle with fresh fruit chopped daily) and some Western dishes! We loved all the breakfasts so much that we paid extra to have a full Sri Lankan Thali dinner prepared on our last night which was a real treat!
The location of the villa is fantastic - set back off the main road it is beautifully quiet and there are trees, monkeys and chipmunks all over the property. Watching the monkeys in the early morning became a bit of a breakfast ritual. The villa is also located within great walking distance of a couple of fantastic restaurants (at least one of which offers take out) and a lovely stretch of beach - really convenient distance to Galle and other attractions on the South Coast too.

Perfect Villa Location

We were 2 adults and 2 children staying in this villa and booked 2 out of the three rooms here. Rooms were a lovely size, one of them had an outdoor bath and shower.
All very modern decor - lots of polished concrete.
The pool was lovely and we loved sitting on the front deck having breakfast and watching and listening to the wildlife. We saw mongoose dashing across the lawn and monkeys playing in the trees of the villa.
Very close to Widjaya beach.
Only slight negative was the fact that the staff there were not too helpful and we sometimes felt like we were in their way! But would happily stay there again based on rooms, pool and location.

Peaceful garden villa close to the beach

We originally booked for 5 nights but changed to 3 and the staff were fine with that. The room was quite small, we should have booked one of the bigger two rooms. So be aware, one of the three rooms is small and a little cell like. There are plenty of outdoor areas for you to use tho if the room feels too small. Staff are v helpful. It’s great walking the lanes around the hotel, v rural. Wijaya on the beach does great food, esp the wood fired pizzas.  Bring some beers to the hotel. And watch out for the mozzers, there are a few gaps in the windows in the rooms, letting them in. That probably needs some attention.

Nice alternative

Quiet and cozy with a maximum of 3 rooms. 3 minutes walk to the beach, always delicious breakfast. Accommodation is very modern and clean, staff is top and friendly.

A dream villa

A great accommodation with a very nice and friendly host.Everything is very clean and well maintained.The outdoor shower is great and the pool is large enough for swimming and also very clean.The day begins with a very delicious breakfast.The beach is only a few minutes' walk away.Unfortunately we were there in the rainy season and swimming in the sea was not possible because the waves were very high.I can recommend the accommodation with the best of conscience!

Top accommodation

We stayed in one of the rooms of this villa in August 2015. I would like to immediately note the owner of the villa, Eric, who is very lively, positive and enjoyable in the community. He did everything from the first minute of our stay in the villa to surround us with comfort, positivity and comfort. And Eric's breakfast is not so easy to forget - it's just divine. Coffee is especially worth noting, because it's almost unrealistic to find normal coffee in the SLC.
