Ella Soul Resort

A great choice when in Ella! Close enough, yet far away enough, from the main street. Just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Staff very attentive and professional. Breakfast is great! The triple rooms are very spacious and comfortable!

What a bargain! Wonderful, wonderful room we were in, 4 poster bed, balcony and bathroom with all amenities. Spotless room and hotel and in the top floor a fantastic bar / restaurant. Only 5 mins from the main road it was nice and quiet too. Definitely a hotel to choose if you’re visiting Ella!

Loved Ella Soul. My daughter and I spent 2 nights. Location is perfect because it is just a 5 minute walk up a little hill and away from the noise of Ella town. Great shower, beds were a little on the firm side. Terrace with couch. Rooftop breakfast and super friendly staff. My daughter fell in love with the resident Golden Labrador.

We loved our stay here. It’s not 5 star but it’s got a lovely feel to it. Rooms were clean, the guys running the place were so friendly and hospitable, and it’s so close to the main street. Breakfast was by far the best we had in all Sri Lanka, and it also offers lunch and dinner which was honestly fresh and yummy. Try the French toast (date cake) So good!!!  Thanks for a lovely stay, guys.

Lovely hotel. Exceptionally clean. Great staff. Wonderful breakfast, highly recommend the Avocado Toast and smoothie bowl. Easy walking distance to Ella. Beds and pillows were soooo comfortable. If coming back to Ella will stay again.

Lovely, friendly Hotel. Rooms were more than adequate, clean and very spacious. Good food and helpful as I am Coeliac which we discussed with the catering staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They were just 100 yards from the main high street and all the restaurants. We stayed 2 nights and we happy with our 2 day stay and would definitely return.

We loved this Hideaway hotel. Set back from the main road, down a short track.

The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly.

The breakfast area on the rooftop was great and a choice of 6 dishes were offered. 

We had a family room which was very spacious and the bathroom big too.

This place was so special for us.
It provided an absolute sanctuary with amazing hill views and just far enough away from the road touristy road  below.  The room with balcony was comfortable, clean  and spacious.
Asanka and his team were amazing.  The daily breakfast was a delight and the rooftop chill area was just that.
We had a serious accident in Ella whilst there at the Nine Arches bridge and the genuine  care and concern shown by Asanka  and team was just beautiful and authentic and something we will always be grateful for and never forget.

Everything looks very new or as if it has been redecorated recently. The rooms are quite big, spotless clean and have comfortable beds with nice smelling linens. Away from the hassle, but only about 5 minute walk to the main road. We had room only, so cannot say anything about the breakfast. Highly recommended place. 

We were only stopping in Ella for 1 night and wanted somewhere close to the main street, so that we could walk to get some food and drinks. We knew from a previous visit that the Cafe Chill was the place to go and looked for somewhere near on a booking site. We booked Ella soul resort hotel, which was up a very small laneway beside Chill and only about a 5 min walk. It was a perfect choice. Even though it was wet and dark when we arrived just after 6pm, we were met by Asanka and Kawidu at the door and they showed us to our room. 
The room was spotless with a very comfortable 4 poster bed with mosquito net. We were not expecting such a fab place for a cost of less than $30. It was a great credit to this hotel that could provide such excellent accommodation for such a great price.
They don't have a restaurant or breakfast facilities, but in less than 5 minutes you have a great choice of breakfast restaurants, which worked out very well for us.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is travelling to Ella and wants to be near the centre of all the restaurants and bars, but yet in a quiet surrounding.

My thanks to Asanka, who I found out later was the owner, for such a welcoming and very well kept hotel for the night.
