Ate here twice in a week as the food was that nice on our first visit we had to return. The staff are really helpful and provide  good service. The food was amazing with a good menu choice. The setting is lovely looking out on the water. Would recommend a visit here if you are looking for somewhere to eat.

We stayed in Sun &Moon resort for to weeks and enjoyed the spacious room, the pool and the riverview. The staff were very friendly, always willing to help and find solutions. We even arranged a lunchparty together with the chef. When we return to Aluthgama we certainly will stay in Sun & Moon.

Excellent New Year’s Eve party at The Sun & Moon, it’s our 4th year and it did not disappoint despite the weather. The food and service were superb. The garden room looked delightful, due to the rain our table was inside this year but as the evening wore on we were able to move into the garden and enjoy the spectacular firework display. 
It’s a beautiful spot and highly recommended at any time for food & service. 

This is the second time we have stayed at Sun&Moon. It is a fantastic hotel which is great value for money. The staff are friendly and really helpful; nothing is too much trouble. Location is excellent and backs right onto the river. Food in the restaurant is superb. We would highly recommend it. Also try H&T Tours on Facebook for trips and excellent guides.

We had the pleasure to stay at the Sun & Moon resort for 8 nights and we had a fantastic time. The rooms are clean and spacious with all the commodities needed (fridge, wardrobe, AC, balcony) The breakfast and the dinner options are diverse and the food overall is exceptionally good. The warm-hearted staff (receptionists, security guards as well as waiters (Srinath, I am looking at you ;-)) and all the others working at the hotel) made us having a wonderful stay! As soon as we come back to Aluthgama this will be our first adress to stay.

We had visited Sun and Moon resort today for my daughters 10 months celebrations.The team Sun and Moon gave us a warm welcome and we enjoyed a lot. We had a beautiful time there. Special thanks to “Shriyantha” who serve us well.The food were really delicious. Will visit Sun and Moon next time in Sri Lanka.

One of the Nicest veiw. Benthota river and Indian Ocean in a o e place.this attracted other that any thing in this place.
Pleasant staff.
Tasty foods as per request also.
Mix of sea and river breeze.

Great hotel with excellent service

I went 2 week ago this beautiful hotel function with great food and service. but i meet the manager to discuss for have a birthday party at this palace. i ask five cores menu for manager but he gave me only wedding menus and a la carte menus. also he unable to enplane me and he do not know what is the five cores menu.i feel the manager of this palace is not good enough and poor english. this palce is very good and nice river view with excellent service and special thanks to give wonderful lunch. thank you sun and moon resort.

Not satisfying with the manager

I came a wedding held on this month at sun and moon. I was used spoon and fork for having my meal. I went to bring a glass of water for my child. That moment my plate taken by old waiter and didint have any idea about plate display what I mean. This place and food was excellent by service was not up to it. I was wondering why you taken non professional waiters. My husband have a hotel also, I am trying to say you will lose more customers by using non professional workers. Thank you
