Stayed at the villa for 7nights on our trip of Sri Lanka, 4 adults and a 14year old ,who thought it was great to have his own room.
Like the first visit it was pefect, the Villa is kept immaculate and Pahan and his family are so welcoming.
We would certainly recommend the villa and will be returning again without a doubt

Fully furnished luxury villa with ample space to chill and enjoy.. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND this place.

Had a weekend to remember.. pahan and his dad was soo kind and helpfull. Helped us to do watersports and served us very well.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR AND YOUR FAMILY’s HEALTH - DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.

The place is infested with pests (ants, mosquitoes, cockroaches, etc) a fact that host chose to hide. The utensils in kitchen were covered with dust and even rooms were not cleaned that well. AC was leaking and damaged my bag. Also place is not well lit and even among the low lights not all of them work. Basically, it’s the host’s strategy to not allow to u find all the insects in corners by keeping place relatively dark.

When i raised issue about the mosquitoes and cockroaches, host’s response is “it is normal in Bentota”. Since we had an infant with us, we vacated the property. 

We had booked via Airbnb, so I asked for 50% refund, I am told by host that “if i have an issue with ants, mosquito may be Bentota, Sri Lanka is not the place for me to visit” and refund was not processed. It is still under dispute.

DO NOT BOOK  this Unhygienic, Infested with Pests, Dirty, Unclean place


In many years of coming to Sri Lanka this was our biggest disappointment and ruined a family get together.

The property is not as advertised, the living area and kitchen are open to the outdoors, as were the bedrooms when we stayed. We should have left immediately.

1st morning found cockroaches in the bedrooms.

Later the 1st morning workmen arrived unannounced, drilling, dust all over kitchen, and walking in to kids bedrooms while they were sleeping. We asked them to leave asap.

2nd evening 1st rat (4 inches) ran through open area beside the living room. Half hour later 2nd rat (8 inches body size) ran through living area and into kitchen. Very kind neighbours came and helped to remove it. We left that evening. 

Pahan could not have been more obnoxious. In his view having rats and cockroaches in your kitchen and bedroom is normal. We don't mind  having lizards, Mongoose, chipmonks even spiders around us and are used to it. But not rats please. 

Sri Lanka is a beautiful hospitable country but Pahan is not a representative of this. 

We had booked this place for 10 nights and only stayed one night and requested Pahan to arrange a refund but he has refused this. We continue to try to resolve and get a refund through air BnB and our lawyers if necessary.
