Enjoyed 3 nights in this Guest House in Habarana being superbly looked after by Grandma who was a real character.  Used Habarana as a base to visit sites in Cultural Triangle (Sirigya and Dambulla Cave Temple). Short stroll into town for restaurants or walk round Habarana Lake which is great for both amateur birdwatching or keen ornithologists.

Excellent place to stay after Ananda's Special Jeep Safari. Comfortable room, hot water shower and very special early breakfast. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay. Lovely balcony to sit for early morning

Great stay at Weaver Bird Villa - accommodation offers several rooms in the house next door to the guest family. The family is very accommodating and offers all around good service. Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast as well as the optional dinner were delicious and freshly prepared. The location as a starting point for Sigiriya, Anradhapura, Pollonaruwa and the nearby national parks is highly recommended. We felt very comfortable throughout.

One of the best places we’ve stayed so far in Sri Lanka- well located, so peaceful and such lovely people!! And the food was to die for - the evening meal they cooked for us was the best we’ve had, breakfasts were lovely, plentiful and very different from the standard fare.  They even did us a wonderful packed breakfast one morning when we went birdwatching at 6am. Excellent bathroom, particularly the showers - powerful and loads of hot water.

We absolutely adored our stay at the weaver bird villa. We stayed for two nights to explore the cultural triangle. The location is superb for exploring Sigiriya rock , Dambulla caves and the national park. The accomodation is perfect and very clean with lovely hot water and comformatble beds. However it’s the hosts that make the experience extra special. Sachi couldn’t have been more helpful at organising all or transport and giving us advice on where to travel. His grandmother was also the most wonderful cook! Dinner was scrumptious local cuisine- you must eat here! They even made us a lovely lunch after a long morning hike! Please stay you won’t be let down! Lastly it’s so reasonable and worth every penny.

We had an air con upstairs room, which was immaculate and well appointed.  Weaver Bird Villa is about 500m from Habarana up a dirt and potholed road and is run by an extended family.  Aachi (grandmother) is an absolute tornado and never stops.  She keeps the rest of the family moving too!  We ate breakfast and dinner here as too far to walk at night to Habarana.  The dogs in the area didn’t help.  The food was worth staying in for!  Sri Lankan curries and hoppers with fruit and tea.  
The best place we stayed in nearly four weeks in Sri Lanka.

Lovely villa in Habarana. It takes you a 10 mins walk to get to the main road, Very dark at night along the dirt road, so take a torch if going out.The room is clean and basic, with a very comfy bed. If you decide to eat there, go for the Sri Lankan Breakfast and or the evening diner, Nan's cooking is the best, she doesn't speak any English but is friendly and always up for a laugh. Fantastic family run villa.
