Ecologic Vinyols Camp

A fantastic start to our first family camping experience. A small friendly campsite south of Tarragona and close to the coast and Montsant mountain range. Set on a small organic farm the animals and fruit and veg patch lend this campsite a very special feel. Our son loved watching the animals; pigs, hens, ducks, ponies, sheep, goats, dogs and cats, particularly at feeding time which children are encouraged to help with. Pomegranate, olive and hazlenut trees provide ample shade and whilst we camped, there is also the option to stay in wooden cabins. The pool is great, though not open before 10am and the cafe is friendly with good food, though service is sometimes slow. However the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. A small local produce market is also on offer most mornings. A lively and hilarious free show made our Sunday extra special. The campsite offers ample activities including pony cart rides, zumba, yoga and woga (yoga in the water!). Close by the historic town of Tarragona is worth a visit as are the beautiful azul mountain lakes and villages. A great spot, we hope to be back.
