Great, cheap place in the very center, everything is close, and you can see the circus from the balcony. The room is basic but good. It was clean enough as well, with daily clean towels. The night shift staff we talked to is a great guy.

Location was fantastic, right in the old town. The room had an old world charm. It was spacious, with a beautiful wardrobe. There’s also a balcony.
Very nice bathroom. rather than using the expensive parking located opposite to the hotel (€18), we used an underground parking that is located close to the Muralles which is priced at €4.5 per day.
All major attractions were close by. For example, the basilica was just 300 m away. The Roman walls, the Roman Circus, balcony promenade and the amphitheater were within walking distance.
Supermarket is close by as well.

I will write a full review once I've completed my visit. But my first impressions are good. Very friendly staff. Good room. Good experience so far. Bar lovely. The lady who has looked after me. Do not know her name. Is fantastic she really looks after you. Will write a full review once. I have completed my stay but so far so good. 

The location is excellent, overlooking a beautiful square and the parking ist just in front of the hostel. As a guest you are entitled to a discount of -50% of the parking fee. So that's a good start of your stay. The ladies in the cozy bar of the hostel are very helpful and gave us the 'penthouse', with a great view of the square. The room itself was basic, but with a nice bathroom and very clean. And of course the balcony overlooking the square. Tarragona is a bit of a mixed bag; beautiful Roman remains and ugly modern buildings. But the people are very friendly and relaxed and the food is great. So was the breakfast in the hostel by the way.

This is a nice, simple little hostal in a great location. Very clean, nice bathrooms and fresh towels every day. Very good value and an ideal base to explore Tarragona. Remember it is a hostal and not a 3* hotel - so there's no WIFI and you have to provide your own toiletries (fairly standard for a hostal) there's a good Spar about 15 seconds walk away on the side street. The ground floor is a cafe/bar where you can get a coffee and a pastry for breakfast for a couple of Euros. There's a huge range of places to eat dinner in the various squares of the old town and its worth wandering around. We would happily stay here again (and probably will as we visit Tarragona frequently)

Nice little hostal with views over Plaza de la Font

Nice place

Good - excellent central location within easy walking distance of the main sites and best restaurants. 
Breakfast was satisfying and the room itself was clean and well-maintained with a nice balcony view. Fresh towels and linen provided regularly.

Bad - the bar staff effectively double as hotel reception which doesn't work. Service was poor, often down-right rude. If you're working at a hostel/hotel serving many international guests daily not knowing (or refusing to speak) any English is totally amateurish. 

No WiFi in the rooms. 

Don't expect any help or advice on where to go, how to get anywhere, or what to see. The night shift porter had better etiquette to guests.

Great location, nice room, rude staff

The hostal is at one end of Placa de la Font, so great location.
This was our go-to place for snacks at lunchtime - normally a filled roll.
The food was actually very nice, especially considering the low price.  We had hamburger and chips/ egg and chips one day too and they were fine.

The service was odd.  We arrived at 3pm on the first day and they were happy to make us rolls. Another day we sat 20 minutes before giving up. Another day our order was taken and then another waitress had to take it again as our waiter had disappeared.  The staff didn't speak much English but were always friendly enough.

So good for the food, less so for erratic (but not unfriendly) service.

Good value for a snack but service is unpredicable

Ideal for a one night stay and to visit the city center. I was in a single room and it suited me perfectly in terms of size and cleanness. The staff is mainly concentrated on offering service to the cafe' so the check-in is a bit odd. However I was provided with the instructions on parking options vs costs and generally they were kind - just they seem not to pay too much attention. The elevator is available but only as of the first floor. Breakfast was possible in the morning and it was readily served and very cheap. The hostal is very near to the square where the city hall is: the square is full of restaurants. Inevitably,  there is some noise in the evening - however i was so dead tired that I collapsed in the bed. Overall, it is budget hotel with a good quality/price ratio. I would return.

Good for a one night stop

I would like to mention how inadequate this hotel is. Maybe that was what I got for what I had paid for. Despite it's proximity to the city centre (the only good thing), it is noisy, with really thin walls, I can hear my neighbouring room playing football at 1am and had a hard time sleeping. The room was also super tiny and without a desk (reconsider this hostal if you want to work in the room. There is also no soap and hair dryer provided in the room. Though u can request the bathing gel, they were in small packs, which u need to open 4 packs in a bath. There was also no lift on the ground floor, which you need to carry your luggage to the first floor before heading on a lift, which was quite inconvenient. Last but not least, although the night staff was sincere, he had difficulty understanding ANY English and need translation. A quite personal opinion, the hotel smells like sh*t. Anyway, the conclusion is I will never stay there again.

Poor

We spent a terrible night in this hotel. The room heater was not working properly. Television was also not working. There was no wifi in the room and the room was full of bad smell. I had to open the window for one hour to alleviate the bad smell. The most disgusting thing is that the staff do not want to talk in English or they do not know this. They were not friendly in behaviour and did not smile for a moment.

The good things were that the bathroom was clean, breakfast was good, especially the juice, this hotel is situated in a nice place and suitable for only one night, especially for the backpackers.
