Allotjaments Rurals Can Pere Petit

We have children aged 10 and 13 and were looking for a base to explore Catalonia in Northern Spain. We booked an apartment at Can Pere online and didn't really know what to expect. The apartment itself was comfortable and had everything we needed, my favourite feature was the balcony overlooking the quiet street below, great to sit there in the cool of the morning watching the village come to life. My children loved the pool which is clean and subtly lit at night for late evening star gazing - amazing! The very best feature of the apartment is the wonderful owner who is incredibly welcoming and kind and who made our stay a real pleasure. The village is stunning (check photos on-line) and there are many beautiful walks nearby around the volcanic national park, river swimming, towns to explore etc. Within about an hour you can also get to the Med coast (we recommend Griffeu Platja (beach) north of Llanca, and up into the Pyrenees - drive to Prats-de-Mollo in France for spectacular views on the drive, a great Plat du Jour in the square and high ropes at the country park as you drive into the village (check timing though - last chance is at 3pm for the climbing). Loads more I could say but will leave it there - would definately recommend to a friend and will be going back!
