Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria

My wife and I returned to Paradisus Gran Canaria in Las Palmas for our annual Thanksgiving vacation, and once again, the experience was nothing short of remarkable. From the moment we arrived, the front desk and concierge team made us feel at home. Marion was so accommodating and friendly—she felt like part of our family. Elisa took her time to ensure our check-in was smooth, while Elena and Christina greeted us with kindness and warmth every day. Sofia’s smile brightened each encounter, and Sandro, Raul, and Jonathan at the front door were unfailingly helpful. Dining was a highlight. At Metzcalzone, Angie, Joel, Jorge, and Andrea provided excellent service, with Andrea offering great wine recommendations. At Lemonfish, Robert kept us laughing while Diego remembered my love for spicy food and delivered it perfectly each time. Nerea added her kindness to the mix. At Peseta, Laurent, Adam, Barbara, and Beatriz treated us with warmth and care. Across all restaurants, we were delighted to see Gabriela, Jhonn, Moha, and Anyi, whose presence made meals feel familiar and welcoming. Breakfast was always joyful thanks to Irene, Lucia, Stefanie, and Analay, who greeted us with big smiles and thoughtful service. In the dining hall, Christina and Moha created a warm, inviting atmosphere. The spa team was exceptional. Elena remembered me from last year and ensured I had access to everything I needed, while Nyara provided a restorative massage. Special thanks to Annabel from Circle Meliá Rewards—she is truly remarkable, always kind, and even saved us money--increasing the overall value. Judith, whom we remembered from last year, welcomed us with her beautiful smile and attentive care. Guest Relations was outstanding: Luis (the “Christmas tree guy”) always had a kind word, while another Luis, Marta, and Sergio made every encounter memorable. Meeting Sergio for the first time and sharing stories about Germany was a highlight. Marina remains one of the highlights of our trips—our conversations about motorcycles are always special. Around the hotel, Jeanine’s smile lit up every room, Mapi was a joy to see, and at the pool and bar, Mayvelise and Monette made us feel uniquely cared for. Mayvelise’s kindness is unmatched—she makes us feel like the only guests in the room. Monette remembered us from last year and welcomed us back warmly. Finally, we regret not catching the name of the kind woman with glasses who restocked our minibar and cleaned our room—her thoughtful service meant so much. Our room was always impeccably clean This hotel and its people are the reason we return year after year. Paradisus Gran Canaria is not just a destination—it’s family.
